Approach symbol test from bold method.

You scored 100%. Well done..

4, and decisions were made before checking the choices, so no. multi choice analysis advantage.

IFR subscriber from the first issue. About 2 decades since I last flew instrument, or claimed currency.

Nice refresher.

100%

Is it cheating that I'm a professional pilot? In my defense, I've never used anything other than Jepp charts.

4/6. To be fair, only one was a stumper and that is because I don’t get much practice with that particular symbol. The other miss was failure to read the question properly.

100%, but only because it’s multiple choice. Good guess on a couple.

Wouldn’t this thread, the original post, be thievery? I think the owner of Bold Method is here on POA, @whatshisname…
Generally speaking, no. There was some small argument about this in the early days, particularly about framing or creating internal links that don’t identify the source, but not simply pointing to a website.

After all, most companies don’t mind if you send traffic to their websites. Would you?

Well, I'm not currently a subscriber to bold method. The linked webpage was published on their website without requirements of a paywall or login. If it was login protected I could see impropriety but that is not the case here. If anything I see it as good advertising for them.

100%. That’s good, as I haven’t been IFR current in 10 years and am just about ready to get reresher training and an IPC, now that I have a plane that’s equipped for it.

Don’t worry. It’s just not.

I did fine on the test but it posted a disclaimer that in no way does one silly test mean I'm a 5h1t hot ifr pilot, but if I practice, read a lot, and do tons of tests successfully I might improve.

I did get 100%, fortunately. Thought you all might like to know.

This was pretty similar to the "technical" part of my job interview.
It would be much ore interesting if you didn't. :D

The one I don't care about memorizing is the lighting one. Not that it's unimportant, but if you do it a lot, you just end up knowing. If you don't do it a lot, checking on what type of lighting is part of your preflight briefing.

I like being surprised. :)

I didn’t mean that all that accusatorially. @midlifeflyer had said he has stolen from them which got me thinking. But like he has already said, and you have, it’s all good and the Bold Method dude probably welcomes it. But I’m still wondering who he is. I’m sure he’s a POA member.

That one buffaloed me for a moment, those are similar to marker symbols.
Yeah, a Bone Marker. There never were a lot of those, most were Fan Markers. At any rate, they were never ‘over’ the runway.
