Given the knee-jerk ridiculous sanctions placed on the program as a result of one person of poor moral character, I think he'd done pretty good to make a playoff appearance and get a top-5 start this year

That surprises me mid-season. Thinking about it, I guess that allows them the advantage of recruits not being surprised at the end, but then again, recruits have no idea who they might be playing for next season...

I think Tech will up the ante in the offseason. Brent is a Tech guy who loves tech. I don’t think he’ll try to break the bank.

GT over Duke, 27-18, and it should have been 34-18 if the officials had called an endzone catch correctly. I'm curious to see whether GT will break into the top 10.

So far, UCF is stomping W Virginia and Samford is leading VMI, both games in the 4Q.
 
Minnesota did a nice number on Nebraska
Vandy sent LSU back to the swamp
GT played a nice game

Interesting weekend so far
 
Can’t bear watching any more of what ‘bama is doing to Tennessee, so I flipped over to the Auburn game. It’s still a game, but Auburn isn’t making me very hopeful.

Maybe I should just go to bed....

They should be favored, but it's a little hard to tell, A&M has a relatively easy in-conference schedule, only three ranked SEC teams, and none in the top 10.
 
Ugly, ugly win by UT this week. I thought OU would smoke the Longhorns and I was wrong. No way to predict the TRUE rivalry of UT and A&M. So glad to have it back, though now that both teams are in the SEC

And yet A&M can still lose to those relative easy teams. I have seen it before over the years.
