“I’m a rocket mannnnn...”
You beat me to it damn you!
“All this science I don’t understand, it’s just my job five days a week”.
Perfect for the Flat Earth Society.
Bowie's "Space Oddity," performed using only the 1000 most-common words in English.
I'm sure he will succeed. It's not rocket science after all.
But, but.... isn't he Rocketman??
no.....make it stop.
An oldie, but a goodie:
You are having a bad problem and you will not go to space today.
Already been done once before.....
Actually sort of “half done” before.
He's only going to go 1,800' up?
Wouldn't it be easier to just drive up a local small hill and just park and look down?
I think the whole flat earth thing is just a giant troll fest and attention grab.
I think that's Rocket boy.
Just be happy I did not post the William Shatner version....
He's the new Super Dave Osborne:
Fly away in my space rocket.
Five, four, three, one.. OffBlast!
To be safe he better bring his towel. Hitchhiker's guide reference.
Flat-Earther Delays Launch In His Homemade Rocket, Saying 'It's Not Easy'
"There's no difference between science and science fiction."
Well, he finally succeeded in launching his rocket.
He was unable to determine if the earth was flat or round but he did discover it was hard.
Pretty badass that he actually gained 1,875’ of altitude in a homemade rocket. He might be crazy as a ****house pigeon, but he launched.
Ballsy... but help me here.... How does this help prove the earth is flat?
Dude is whacked.
Here's a video... Of course Shakes the Clown is operating the camera...
The guy flew 350 miles an hour in a homemade steam powered rocket. I think he's my hero. He built a pharging rocket in his friggin garage!
Yeah I have to agree, that was pretty ballsy.
Not that I’m doubting the numbers but are the altitude and speed numbers from an outside source or from the guy who built it?
But can he land at Gaston’s?
Is he alive? Is he two inches shorter from the accel/decel? Is the earth flat?
Enquiring minds want to know!
Probably if his chute is controllable.
Loved to see the flight suit he used. Probably off the rack Carhardt’s. Oh, and with Squadron patches.
Nah, heard it was a STP patch.
I thought the camera work was not that bad, until the end. From your description, I was expecting much worse.
There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity.
I don't know. It's not something I'd do, mostly because I have a problem with heights and speed. But then again I know a lot of people who would NEVER go up in a light GA aircraft, thinking the same thing.
But I'm glad the guy did it. And it was a fun video to watch.
I couldn't read the PM article. But I read something somewhere about a problem with steam leaks. Steam powered rocket?
