He's only going to go 1,800' up?

Wouldn't it be easier to just drive up a local small hill and just park and look down?

I think the whole flat earth thing is just a giant troll fest and attention grab.

Fly away in my space rocket.
Five, four, three, one.. OffBlast!

To be safe he better bring his towel. Hitchhiker's guide reference.

Pretty badass that he actually gained 1,875’ of altitude in a homemade rocket. He might be crazy as a ****house pigeon, but he launched. :)

The guy flew 350 miles an hour in a homemade steam powered rocket. I think he's my hero. He built a pharging rocket in his friggin garage!

Yeah I have to agree, that was pretty ballsy.

Not that I’m doubting the numbers but are the altitude and speed numbers from an outside source or from the guy who built it?

Is he alive? Is he two inches shorter from the accel/decel? Is the earth flat?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Cheers

Loved to see the flight suit he used. Probably off the rack Carhardt’s. Oh, and with Squadron patches.

Cheers

Here's a video... Of course Shakes the Clown is operating the camera...
I thought the camera work was not that bad, until the end. From your description, I was expecting much worse.

There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity.

I don't know. It's not something I'd do, mostly because I have a problem with heights and speed. But then again I know a lot of people who would NEVER go up in a light GA aircraft, thinking the same thing.

But I'm glad the guy did it. And it was a fun video to watch.

I couldn't read the PM article. But I read something somewhere about a problem with steam leaks. Steam powered rocket?
