Probably wasn't resolved enough in their favor and decided to ask an AITA question here. The answer was a resounding "yes", and still couldn't let it go.

OP, best thing you can do is put this thread on ignore.
He's so close to the bottom of the hole though, he just needs to dig a little bit more...

I've yet to be in a relationship where my girlfriend had my boss' number or vice versa.
That might be the first thing I'd address after I got out of the hospital.
She knows my boss, as she works under her leadership as well to a degree. But that’s none of your business and not your problem anyway.

Dear god can no one read. As a matter of fact, it was resolved in my favor, and I asked on here before it was resolved, as I have said many times. And because I was sick and wasn’t able to notify him, does not make me an a**hole. You all are way over exaggerating this.

What’s the consensus about a situation where you schedule a two hour block and you get sick while flying after 15 minutes and have to land.

Still pay the full 2 hours?

What if the instructor cuts the lesson short? Still pay the full two hours?

What if the instructor gets sick… still owe the school the two hours on the plane? Or does the instructor owe the school?

What if you take off work, drive two hours to the lesson, then the plane breaks… does the school owe you?

Enquiring minds…

I can’t believe that people are still engaging with the troll. Attention is exactly what he wants. Let it go. If you can’t then the moderators should shut the thread down.

Brown bottle flu can be a mofo and cause no call no shows (I’ve worked in supervisory and management roles enough years to develop the knee jerk reaction that when somebody is “to sick to call in” it is usually in my experience because of substance induced “illness”, not virus induced) I’m not accusing the op of this, simply stating my observations from my personal experiences.

Sorry bro. I got a job and missed a few hours and ain't reading pages.

So....you complained about being charged for no showing and they said fine. Honestly, I don't have the juevos to ask for money back. Id understand I did em dirty and move on.

The only excuse one could possibly have for radio silence is being incapacitated. You were not.

There's only a "victim" after the trap is sprung. Quick: within 90 seconds of reading this, tell me what clause 12.5 of the last click-wrap user agreement you consented to says.

Doesn't matter how bad it is; you agreed to it -- victim.
I’m not sure if clickwrap boilerplate or even the pages and pages and pages of government mandated disclosures on loan documents, is quite on the same level as knowing there’s a no-show fee at a flight school.

I’m not in the same place as you in this. Assuming a written policy that was disclosed, I don’t necessarily see asking for a charge reversal as requiring juevos. No, I wouldn’t be “complaining”about being charged. But I would be explaining to the school that I was ill and that I’m sorry but I didn’t think of calling them, and asking for one-time forgiveness. And accepting their answer.

Well I’m 19, so I can’t drink, nor do I want to. I can assure you it was a stomach virus. This thread beats all ‍

First of all, I am not a troll, and I don’t appreciate being called that. Secondly, I do not want attention. I wanted advice, which I got plenty, and way more than I wanted, and now I’m sick of it.

You do know that you can stop replying at any time right? That's how the Internet works.

Also when you dig in and call the established people jerks, that tends to get you buried. I hear they call that "the heel turn" in pro wrestling. I'm not a fan, but I am a fan of the Internet, which is basically the same thing.

Anyway. Welcome to POA. It's a lot of fun if you make it.

IMO that was rude as heck to not call in sick to your instructor ahead of time, no matter how sick you are. Yes you need to pay it and be on time from here on out.
When I was flight training 10 years ago I noticed many students that were late.
I never got sick and had to miss a lesson. I got air sick in the plane early on, luckily I never puked. I was always on time or early when I would study during the 18 months it took me.
They always made sure I had a plane and instructor once they saw my commitment.
Good luck to you.

I would add "and apologize" to "pay it and be on time from here on out".
Good luck to you.
Yes. Good luck on you flying journey.

First of all, I didn’t do them “dirty”. Second of all, I didn’t ask for it back. I just asked what the charge was, then said I didn’t know there was a fee. He said as a courtesy he would credit it to the next lesson. I didn’t ask for it back.

So don’t keep dragging the thread out.
