Anybody want to buy a nice 310?

Beautiful looking plane! My student's dad just bought an MU-2 and we flew down to SC to see it today. Hoping I can get some free turbine time!

Yeah, James can't count his......nah....can't do it. :wink2:

I hope the inspection goes well and things roll your way, you've been through a lot!

Hoping the inspector doesn't lay a big goose egg on the whole deal? Yuk yuk yuk. ;)

I'm secretly lusting over the 310. And non-secretly admitting I'm not even gonna go there... :)

Oh c'mon, you're going to tease us with those photos? Give us more!

Yep, THE ultimate propeller ride.

And after these pics top of my list of things-I-really-really-need-before-I-die. :yesnod:

Purchase agreement agreed to and signed. Prebuy inspection initiated. I will post more pictures tonight.

Finally! Somebody puts the audio panel BELOW the GPS. Makes TOTAL sense to me... been thinking "why do we put it at the top" for some time now.

That panel layout is fantastic. Congratulations, you've worked hard, survived incredible odds, and deserve it.

I wouldn't even installed a panel mounted audio panel with a GTN750...

Is very nice tho.

My thought as well. The remote-mount audio panel works nicely.

I'm seeing lots of pictures of the Conquest, but none of the 310! Come on, let's see the one being put up for adoption! I can't afford it, but I can dream.

I'm heading to the airport this afternoon and will have a more complete set of photos. She will hum right along if you want to pour the coals to it. My normal mode is LOP at 180 - 188kts on 25 - 27GPH depending upon altitude and weight.

Beautiful 310, R model correct? Best version Cessna made. Can't beat the nose compartment for W&B. Flew 'em years ago under 135.

Damn, that panel shot makes me want to eat an omelette right now!

Well, I'm going to go buy a Powerball ticket. This will be on the short list if I win.

I don't think the RDR-2000 display on the GTN 750 is a special "unlocked" thing. The installation manual shows wiring interfaces for 8 different Honeywell (Bendix King) radars including yours.

Just pointing that out so someone doesn't think that they could lose that functionality with a software update or radio repair, or overzealous shop that would disable it because they couldn't find a reference that says it can that way.

It looks like the 6xx series are compatible with only Garmin radars.

You might want to look into what it takes to unlock the radar display capability on a gtn750. It is an added cost that is significant.

Everything is an added cost with Garmin. My radar wasn't compatible with the 750 or the G600. I didn't want to spend $$$$$ for a new radar, I've got the old unit, plus NEXRAD and an antique Stormscope! :D

Insurance agent asked 15 companies to quote and 7 offered a $2mm smooth policy and it was a fair amount lower than I was anticipating. They are going to require an approved initial training program and 25 hours of nanny time prior to solo. Not unreasonable considering I have about 1000 TT with 350 multi.

Going to do a pre-buy inspection at a major shop that is a conquest specialist. The inspection will include a phase 2, 3, and a D check, a borescope of the engines, and a flight/pressure check.

Local charter company who operates three conquests is working with me to help manage maintenance, provide ongoing training, and support services.

Going to be a busy 60 days. :goofy:

I can't hit "like" enough times here. :)

Admit it, it's the passenger cup holders that really sealed the deal! :)

That's a beautiful plane.

You can never have enough cup holders.

You can never have enough cup holders.

I have to tell this. I flew the ATR72 and we actually had square cup holders in the cockpit. Our round styrofoam cups would not fit so maintenance bought some of those stick-on cup holders at an auto parts place and we had cup holders! Maybe they have square cups in France?

cept.....I would have a no drinking rule in the new ride. :goofy:
:D

I would make. No such rule. It has a potty seat.

That's quite the "family sedan" alright! Very lovely.
Hope it sails through the inspections and you are airborne with it soon.

I just got the bill for my last inspection on my Conquest, should I be nice and keep it to myself or forward A COPY of it to James?? What say the group?? :D:D

You think he'll pay it? What a guy!

Let me send some of my bills first...

I wish he would, I just wanted to see if you guys think I should show him a copy?? :D

The quote to do the phase 2 and 3, the D check, and the borescope was $15k. That was before any squawks were addressed.

Sorry, but I didn't put the cost of your inspection in my budget. ;)
