Nice tailwind! Hope it was on the 'going home flight'.
Smooth as glass. I found the unicorn. Hope like hell it changes before I go home.
Doesn't look like it - Between Washington and Mt. Pleasant, headed southeast!
Well... Looks like it'll still be a stiff headwind if you head back tomorrow morning. Sunday looks much more favorable, maybe only 20 knots of headwind component then.
BTW, smooth tailwinds aren't the unicorn. Tailwinds in both directions are. Pete and I managed to do that on the way to and from the FlyBQ a few years ago. 1700nm from the midwest to the east coast with some pretty sharp turns involved and we somehow still had tailwinds the whole trip. Or maybe it was the BBQ giving Pete gas.
Damn it, now I need a Lear.
Stretched her legs a bit today. Dodging some weather build ups and a little icing. Great flight for this point in my transition. Leaving Augusta on Sunday morning of the masters was..... interesting.
Coming up on 100 hours in the Conquest. I don't want to jinx it, but have had nearly zero squawks so far. Had a small hydro leak that turned out to just be a pinched o-ring. Have to do the Phase 2(6-8 hours labor)at the 100 hr mark and fuel nozzle inspection and Phase 59/60(30-50 hours)corrosion inspections are due about the same time. Also have to do the prop OH at the end of July.
...and did you ever sell the 310?
Damn, I only need my multi, and an extra 100k
