Interesting. I never thought of the EAA as being in the same category as big league sports with respect to media restrictions. Actually lowers my opinion of the EAA quite a bit. The only valid item I see is ensuring that equipment does not interfere with aircraft operations.

In addition to tornado's and high winds, keep fire danger in mind as well. Dry weather, high temperatures and high winds make for some pretty potent wildfires around here.

I can understand how having a high performance aircraft can get you into trouble. I have no experience with high performance cars. What is it about a high performance car that gets you killed other than just going too fast for the conditions. Which can happen with a normal car.

Why not keep the the hotel in IA open and have someone manage it? Maybe just start a whole chain of aviation themed hotels.

I guess it depends on the type of company you work for and how much they value productivity of their employees versus bureaucracy . I have always been able to do a simple of analysis of the cost of my time versus getting me the hardware I need so I can work more efficiently. Works every time...

I like putting around on my little Honda Rebel 250 personally. If it has been a long a time since you have ridden, one thing I would suggest is look into to taking a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course.
