Looking at the picture to me, that looks like an e^(i*pi) which is -1

So the sum is

.002 -1 +1 =.002

I don't see the need for adding in 0.002; otherwise, great. :)

Did they process the check?

Which is the number from the phone call with Verizon...

"Do you recognize that there is a difference between .002 dollars and .002 cents?"

"They are both the same if you look at them paperwise."

$/KB = cents/KB because the $ looks like an S and the "c" in cents makes an S sound.

:D

betcha dollars to donuts that odorless donuts make no cents ...

Thats awesome!

I would love to see if they cashed that check. Personally, If I were Verizon, I think I would refuse the check and charge a late fee for being a jerk.

(Claim it got lost in the mail :) )

If you tried to cash the check, the issue would be whether the people at the bank would accept it. Since it goes through several layers, you'd need the teller to be able to figure out how much to put on your ledger, then someone in the back who does the final processesing to understand the proper amount.

So either deposit it, it bounces, charge a late fee and a bounced check fee, or just charge the late fee and reject it. :)

And I would have the Verizon India Bureau issue the rejection letter in Sanskrit...
