How's the food there?

Last time I was there, last year, the van is a late 80's model Aerostar...nothing pretty, nothing nice..but it works.

Personally I would tip - Granted it's their job and what their suppose to be doing it but sometimes those tips can come back to help ya out one day when you may need something and someone to go that extra step.

Definitely going to this! Debating about switching flying clubs and I want to check out all that galt has to offer. Seems like a pretty cool family friendly environment and nice and close to home!

Was hoping to do the skyline last night. Went direct to obk vor then east to lakefront and got down to lake forest area when wife was too uncomfortable being over the water and all the traffic in front of us and around ohare/midway so we asked for a 360 back to Wisconsin state line and westosha...

Used FF last night around 8-9pm. Controller was very busy but still found time for me and pointed out some traffic. No complaints here.

I try to do ff 100% if I can. In the event of an emergency atleast I'm talking and someone knows where I'm at. And it's an extra set of eyes on spotting traffic. Free help!

Cheesehead - debating flying the skyline tonite. Coming from krpj and heading over towards Gary then north up the coastline. Looks like 22 will be in operation tonite at mdw because of the winds. Any tips for doing it safely and staying out of the way of heavys over the lake?

Just visiting grandma for the weekend. Hah. Both are pretty much equal distance and both have expensive 100LL so I'll fill up elsewhere. Just need a courtesy car so I can get to grandmas and get her car. Didn't think DSM was that busy. Any ramp fees or landing fees you aware of?
