Just in a retrac had a hard landing at ash NH closing runway at this time.

I'd think closing the runway would mean "crash" landing

Hopefully he means, "just in, (comma pause) someone just landed so hard that parts came off the airplane, or blew tire, runway closed for sweeping"

Is the grass at ASH still usable?
Or did moving the runway east, take out the usable grass.

We could land east of the runway on either end using the grass. Came in handy when they closed for resurfacing (paving/painting) the runway.

None guess it can't be that bad hopefully

Airplane was a twin doing practice touch and goes landed wheels up ,no injuries.

Or they blew a tire in the middle of the runway and are waiting for the fixit truck with the roller dolly to tow them off the strip.

Jim

That happen to me at kgls defective tube burst on seam they close runway till we move the plane to a taxi way, flat tire rolling 70 mph ain't fun

You know it IS still possible to write a coherent sentence with a smart phone. ;)
