Ya'll eat something for me. Four-day-old leftovers at work for me soon . . . .
We made it. Weathers right at minimums.
Had to work for this one. My students and new PoA friends got to see the real thing. Wish others could have made the lunch.
Glad y’all made it safe. Enjoy!
We were the only plane on the restaurants ramp but had a great time! Thanks again for taking us up @Lance F
You earned the 10 percent discount today!
But it takes at least two planes to make it a true fly-in so .
It's not our fault you didn't come
Anyone sit in the back row of seats in the 414?
Depends, whats it to ya?
They would technically be the last person there and should have paid for lunch!
But wait, since you still haven't shown up, shouldn't you have to reimburse those of us that made it?
Passengers don’t get to make up rules homie.
I don't remember agreeing to this
By the way, due to some ugly weather I won’t be able to make it to lunch earlier today.
Oh shucks, you sure?
No, it’s the fault of @Ryanb and all of the moronic voters in his poll that picked another lousy weather day for a fly-in. The incompetence is beyond comprehension.
Oh wait, I voted for 12/15 in the poll as well. Nevermind.
12/22 wx looks perfect now, of course.
Today's weather looks great as well so I'm heading out to fly in a couple minutes.
Me too. Just not for lunch.
Being mostly retired, my flying day is tomorrow.
Planning to do the same. Looks like a nice day is forecasted.
No joy today. The electrical gremlins are screwing with my right mag... again!
Yeah go figure. I went ahead and got 1.5 in yesterday and it was beautiful. 10g15 right down the runway. Practiced emergency procedures and did a few power off 180s. Wish I went to get a burger instead though.
I did 1.5 as well. Flew to a couple of nearby airports and did a couple of landings at each, grabbed fuel at one, and then back to Lake Norman. Yeah, grabbing lunch somewhere would have been good as well.
1.6 for me today. @RDUPilot joined me for the ride.
boy, gmu sure does look nice tomorrow...………..
I’m out. Heading to FL in the morning.
Out, family obligations. But should be ready to rock right after new years...
I'm working this weekend...
SCBC @ GMU on sunday 2/17. juuuuuuuuuust sayin...…...
Work weekend for me. Anybody going to Triple Tree for the chili lunch on Saturday?
Unable. I'll be on a commercial flight.
Just a heads up. The South Carolina Breakfast Club is scheduled to be at KGMU on Sunday 2/17. Also note on the schedule that we will be violating North Carolina airspace with a scheduled visit to Salisbury NC, KRUQ on 11/17. Below are rules and the schedule:
There are no dues and no meeting requirements.
Attend once and you are a member for life.
The only rule is to fly safe.
Breakfast is around $6 – $10 per plate, is ready about 9am, and there is always plenty.
Fly in or drive to the airport, belly up and talk aircraft, aviation, or anything else,
to your heart’s content.
Pilot or non-pilot, everyone is welcome
I came to the RUQ one last year and hope to make a few this year.
But "belly up" is not a good visual for pilots flying retractable gear!
Belly DOWN is what brings bad visuals...
I've been itching to get to one of the breakfast club meetings... I've got plans in the AM and wont be free till the afternoon. @eman1200 if you guys go I might get your contact info and give you a shout when I'm free to see if you guys are still there.
