Got some approaches in actual down to 400’ with a student yesterday. Some of the best ‘check ride prep’ one can get. :)
Dang! Is it even legal to log that as instrument time when you've got the "Garmin clear and a million" panel? ;)

Took my friend Sean up the north shore of Superior yesterday and snagged another 13 stamps in my FlyMN Passport. Kinda on the home stretch now - hoping to wrap up the rest of the northern half of the state in my biplane this summer when the grass runways are passable.

Sean is working on his Sport Pilot certificate under MOSAIC and I'm working on my CFI certificate. Winds aloft were ~35 kts out of the northwest, so having him track the shoreline from Duluth to Grand Marais was good wind correction practice, and the mechanical turbulence coming off the bluffs kept him active holding altitude. We got to discuss special use airspace near the Boundary Waters and Camp Ripley and practiced pilotage by tracking toward prominent landmarks (read: lakes.)

Paoli Peaks ski resort.
Snow all melting. But If you can jump reeeeally far you might get a run in...and then walk back up. Unless you can jump reeeeally reeeeally reeeeally far.
Also wonder how long it takes them to mow.
And if you got enough speed you could transition to water skiing at the end.
