    UAvionix AV-30-C in Cherokee

In December, I had two uAvionix AV-30-C’s installed in my Piper Cherokee. In the process we pulled out the vacuum pump along with the old AI and DG instruments. I’d have to go back and check my new weight and balance, which is in the airplane, but I think I saved just shy of 15 lbs. I flew my...

Aspen Evolution vs Dual Garmin G5's

Has anybody seen a head to head comparison of the Aspen Evolution VFR ($4000) vs a dual Garmin G5 setup ($4500) ? The one advantage I see for the Aspen is the software can be upgraded to the IFR Pro version down the road and can also upgrade the software to add synth vision. Is there something...

I don't think I have ever seen this before. Why would there be any need for a TFR if the area is already restricted?

Do any of you know an information source for finding airports that have paved bike lanes or bike trails near the airport? I know that St Simons Island (KSSI), Jekyll Island (09J), and Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island (KFHB) have bike paths accessible from their airports. It would be neat to find...
