There's at least 10 abandoned at HNL by the T-hangers, which is surprising since it's class B. Sometimes on the weekends when the flyers aren't parked among them it looks like a junkyard of abandoned planes.

Does anyone have a good training source they'd recommend for the G1000? I'm taking a couple of flights with a local school here to get signed off on the DA40. I looked around for free downloads, which is how I mostly learned the 430w in our 172, but it seems there are only pay courses...

Good stuff, I do the same. I read the NTSB reports for similar reasons I welcome the speculation. My end goal in these instances is to gain knowledge of the who, what, when, where, and why. Most of the time we have to wait a while to learn the 'why.' In the meantime, I often learn more about...

Thats my old school. The aztec is 200/hr dry and the last I checked was dual only. Fuel is about 6.50/gal right now. Not a fan personally. Check out Moore Air and I highly recommend Georges Aviation.
