It's no Georgia Tech, but it is ABOVE par.I think many here are jealous of ERAU.
Many speak of it yet have never attended.
I’m not saying it’s “all that”, but it’s on par with any other every day university.
I thought he was being facetious. But maybe not. It's Embry Riddle btw, not Emery Riddle.
Oh.....it is?...do tell us a lil dittle.I think many here are jealous of ERAU.

I did my undergrad @ ERAU.
- Never flew an ERAU plane (Comp Sci major)
- yes, it was a sausage fest
- Daytona Beach is not as cool as it sounds
- BUT.... I got that UPT slot I went for
Yeah, but probably not the same one you are seeing.are we seeing a pattern....yet?

Why only half of your graduate work?I also did my undergrad at ERAU (and half my graduate)
- Also never flew an ERAU plane (had CFI/MEI before enrolling)
- pretty much all dudes, in accordance with most aviation related things 15-20 years ago
- Destin/Ft Watlon Beach FL is as cool as it sounds (extended campus)
- BUT... I didn't pay them a dime (thank you USAF)
Not quite as cool as getting a UPT/fighter slot.
Human nature. Why would people be jealous of ERAU?
Because I got out of the AF and with life never went back to finish it. Wish I would have but being a controller, it doesn't get you much. Why only half of your graduate work?
Not me.Can anyone, anywhere, name any college that would be as cool as a fighter slot?
Not a tremendous amount. I do think that there are more females in aviation now than then but I have no data to back that up.And do you think anything might have changed in the past 20 years?
Human nature.

And yes, there is a lot of jealousy showing.
That is one thing that is always overlooked by the ER critics. Embry Riddle is a very fine engineering school. And that is coming from a Ga. Tech Grad. The academics have been increased as ERAU has transitioned more into an engineering school.
That is certainly true; even more today. When on campus a couple of times (2015-2016) and there were many females on campus.

Ok. Neither would I.And Le Cordon Bleu is a great cooking school, but I still wouldn't recommend it to an aspiring commerical pilot.
It's no Georgia Tech, ...
Ok. Neither would I.
But I wouldn't rule out Embry Riddle either.
What the heck does Le Cordon Bleu have to do with this conversation anyway?

Well, it's true that I may be a little bit biased, since I live in the area and read the local news about Embry Riddle.I think that’s a bit of an overstatement, and that’s coming from someone who is also a ramblin’ wreck and a helluva engineer.
I’d say fair. It’s not in the tier of Auburn, Clemson, Purdue, etc., as an engineering school.
Just my humble opinion, and worth what you paid for it.
That article is from 2015 and Embry Riddle has made advances since then.Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University continues its dominance in engineering and military education as reflected in the 2016 Best Colleges guidebook published by U.S. News & World Report. In the specialty category of “Best Undergraduate Aerospace / Aeronautical / Astronautical Engineering Programs at Schools Whose Highest Degree is a Bachelor’s or Master’s,” Embry-Riddle’s Daytona Beach Campus is No. 1 for the 16th year in a row, and the Prescott Campus is No. 3 for the 13th year in a row.

And this is admittedly from an Embry Riddle source, and while it may be puffing, I don't think you can call it a lie:

I'm not saying they are the best choice a kid can make, but I am saying they are being trashed undeservedly.
Got me, but now I'm hungry.Ok. Neither would I.
But I wouldn't rule out Embry Riddle either.

Whoopee. Your point?I work in DOD aerospace. We have a few of ERAU grads working. No, I am not jealous of ERAU.
