This wouldn't have happened if I was working with you. That being said, I looked up what it takes for a CDL... ooofff... maybe after my CFI, II, and MEI I'll do it. But I swear I can drive all sorts of equipment!

In other other news, I made my 100th logbook entry in the P28R doing knight stuff. That's 159 hours, 131 landings, 124 hrs XC, 7.7 / 7.2 instrument (actual/simulated), and 8 at night. Of my 4 landings this evening (KMWC, KJVL, KDPA) only the JVL one was rough. The rest were purrrrfect.

I just closed out my first logbook, a little over 300 hours. The first entry was in 1991, the next in 2009.

getting a new book, the only one the club had was the large Jeppesen pro logbook. Had to get a new backpack because it did fit in it anymore.

Nice! I quit paper when I filled my first book. I think my last entry was my multi add on checkride in December.

Got cleared into the Chicago Bravo today on my way back from Michigan, and I was able to stay in it until I was ready to descend into KDPA. Only ever had that 1x before. I could get used to taking that short cut :).
Also had some fluffy friends to the south nearly the whole way back home.

Got my plane back from annual. Don't have the bill yet but they let me fly away. Joke's on them. They'll have to send Guido because that bill is gonna be HUUUUGE.

So I snail mail something to (name/address changed to protect the innocent) Joe Smith at 53 Riverdale. It gets "Return to Sendor". Apparently Joe Smith doesn't live at 53 Riverdale. He lives at 52 Riverdale.

Really? someone can't walk across the street?

    Really?

    Joe has a really nice neighbor there. (>-{

Is it the neighbor or the post office at fault? We don't know that the letter made it to 53 Riverdale. The post office may have caught that the address and name didn't match and never sent it out with the letter carrier for delivery to begin with. I have enough experience with USPS incompetence to blame them first and the neighbor last.

I'll throw out a random possibility. Where I live, the number across the street is 80 something, but my number is (ironically enough) 52. The guy to my right is 30 something. Don't ask me why, I couldn't explain it (personally, I blame the Navy).

My wife and I cleared customs at Burlington, VT on Tuesday coming back from visiting her parents in QC. Heard several pilots talking about their TAC arrivals while on with Approach. Landed, taxied to parking, and as we got out, realized that those were F-35s we heard! So cool to watch them turn and burn!

In other news, I crossed the Canadian border and the 200 hour total time mark on the same day.

Sifting through the GoPro footage from this weekend's flying - mostly in the clouds... very dull. Dull dull dull.

Well the first flight doesn't have audio either, so only barely awesome. The second flight is definitely more interesting, as apparently I swear a lot.

Just make sure the audio is delayed a bit and not matched with what you are actually saying, a la Kung Fu shows from the 70's. It'll be a riot.

Not on top of. Underneath. Your narration should be almost impossible to make out through the music. In fact, it should be so indistinct that people don't even realize that you recorded the narration in reverse until the subliminal messages you hide in it start to make them eat dill pickle-flavored ice cream and wonder why anyone would do such a thing.

ETA: Make sure that the airplane noises are run through a duck-under plugin so the volume changes when you are actively narrating, but set it wrong so that the airplane noises get louder when the narration track has audio.

This is brilliant. I might have to do it at some point, but alas, a dull less funny version is now published.

So.. I think I need to put it up on the Aviation page now?

How can we be sure Bob Noel is not an 88 year old grandmother in Oregon?

But you make a valid point, how can we be sure anyone is who they say they are without validation? But would I steal an airplane (pretty narrow skillset there) and then post about it on an even smaller subset of geeks, nerds, er, uh, pilots - yea that's right, pilots, bragging about stealing it?

To your point @Bob Noel, I try not to picture @NealRomeoGolf in my mind. It causes a terrible condition that requires hundreds of dollars worth of fuel to burn away.
