She is an odd-looking dog. The DNA test report listed a mix of 10 breeds. But never before has an animal been nearer and dearer to me. All she wants to do is make her human family happy. You can almost tell she is so grateful to have been made a part of our family when we met at the rescue shelter. She sort of picked us, by the way. We spoil her like a princess.

Looks like a typical happy Golden. I love that breed and yes, we have had a few over the years.
 
I have been involuntarily converted from a Dogfather to a Catdaddy.

Cat number one was adopted and is somewhat broken:

Despite the "I'll kill you in your sleep" look, she is a very friendly (and lucky) cat.

Cruiser is still with us at 13 years old now. He developed cataracts a couple years ago. He about 80-90% blind now but get's around just fine and the rest of him is still healthy.
Wore out from a tough day at work. My wife was ready to kill me when I brought him home after this day. lol

FYI for people with older big dogs that develop hip/ leg issues, Librella is a miracle drug. We were starting to have the "when is it time" conversations last year. The vet gave me the pros / cons we pulled the trigger. With in a week, he was running and back to jumping up on the couch to sleep. He stopped falling and his quality of life was significantly improved.

It's been about a year and he's starting to slow down but we got more time with him and he got to be young again for a year.

1 shot every month. There's a couple days to take effect and by week 4 he starts looking sore again so we get him another Librella shot.
 
How odd that this thread would start up again today. Snow, the white cat in post 36, told us yesterday that it was time to go, so we helped her across the rainbow bridge. We got her when she was about 6 weeks old, and she stayed with us for 24 years. She was a good kitty to the end.

Meet Beatrice “Bey-ah-tris”, the most fun & heartwarming cat ever. She sleeps hugging my face at night. Basically, I exist to please her.

 
Well, barring a Crypto Christmas, the larger plane alluded to in my previous post ain't gonna happen. So I am working on getting Cooper used to the back of the RV so he can visit his cousin Chilli, and then let everyone else aluminum tube to Vancouver. We did a taxi test last week, next we will try a short local flight.

Zia the GSP her first day home. No dogs on the couch lasted 15 minutes. If I'm outside and she's not in her crate, she learned how to open the door and will find me. Was not a trick I taught. IMG_20190302_203724583_Original.jpeg

Mine will just stare at you till you lift them. Finally she'll just do it herself. An awesome breed that can bounce off the walls for hours. Yet somehow never have a misplaced step and loves to cuddle. Absolute hunting machines. 37 pounds with one thing in mind.

Tractor supply used to sell a dog bed with a cover on top. GSP owners went cray cray when they went on clearance.

She's been with me for six years. She had some very hard times out stray, but living the life now.

Looking great after a spa day. Her buddy Otis, in the background, went over the Rainbow Bridge a year ago. He is missed.
