And the title says lunch, so I assume noon.
I'm planning on going. Most likely I'll drive though. LZU is only 18 nm from PDK and the Flying Machine is only 35 sm from home.
I suppose you and Rich can taxi over with me.
I believe noon is the time.. @Ryanb can confirm...
I plan to be there (weather permitting) and can probably convince someone to go with me.
That's correct! The hoedown starts @ 12p EST!
I'm on call that weekend. I'll just have to wait to see what we schedule before then.
Sounds good, Dave!
I’m closer than usual to the SE meet ups right now. I’m in Louisiana. But won’t be shortly.
NOLA is weird. A good weird.
EST? Shouldn’t that be SET as in SouthEast Time?
Saddle up! I once flew from LZU to WDR for one of the lunch gatherings!
If the weather is crappy I may do that. Get some approaches in actual and talk planes at lunch. Doesn't get much better than that.
The Flying Machine is to be featured this morning on the local Fox network station around 8:15 or so.
Thanks for posting the link.
Damn ole Hoke sounds and sings like Waylon! Almost looks like him too.
You comin’ ain’t-cha?
Strongly considering it, probably drive over most likely. That's if y'all can get "Waylon" to sing!
Cool deal, hope you can. We’ll do more than just hear him sing. I’ve got pole dancers scheduled from 12:30-1p
Well hell why didn't you say so! Guess I better leave my wife home or at a hotel!
Whoa whoa whoa! You're not saying eman, RDU, and 'Dog are pole dancing are you? You are talking about hookers dancing right?
If I said now, it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore...
If it mean you are coming, then I will forgo my pole dancing and let the girls get up there...
Yeah but that still leaves the others....
And I need the tips so I’m still performing.
I'm out, unless I get a ride. Tach quit yesterday, mid-flight. I have a nagging suspicion it's time to overhaul the accessory case.
Wondering if anyone planning on staying over night in the area? I am contemplating staying over; since its a little haul....
I swapped weekends with another pilot, I'm in!
I've been thinking about it as a possibility, mostly because I may want to visit someone while I am there.
Probably going to be a game time decision for me.
You're driving in from Alabama to a fly-in?
Well, you know, Alabama is close enough to the southeast to drive...
IF I do attend, we'll probably spend the weekend in the ATL area visiting friends and such also, so yeah, drive.
Boooooooo... for the part of driving in..
I'm going to sweeten the pot for a few people. For anyone who flies in from out of state, lunch is on me. We'll, not physically on me, but I will pick up your tab.
(Fine print: we're in the midst of an ongoing, out-of-town family medical emergency. I'm pretty sure I'll be at LZU on the 24th, but a sudden change may occur.)
SURF AND TURF BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those hundred dollar burgers will add up fast, you may want to check with your financial advisor. [Large Print: I hope all goes well with the relatives]
I from Out of State..
I'm a definite tentative. I can't fly there yet (legally), but it's an easy drive. Have a lesson starting at 9 at RYY, will try and drive over after I'm done.
So I guess flying the 21nm from Covington won't count? (even though I'm going to use more stinking fuel than the out of staters.)
Looking forward to it.
