I bought my week pass a few weeks ago, and opted to have them mailed. Has anyone got theirs yet?Bought my week pass today before the price goes up.
Negative— I would have thought we’d have received them a week ago as they advertised 30 days prior. So hopefully this week.I bought my week pass a few weeks ago, and opted to have them mailed. Has anyone got theirs yet?
Who isn’t coming?Looks like I will have an extra set (Sunday-Friday) of daily arm bands if someone wants 'em. 50% discount from regular price. They are waiting for me at will-call (or will be in about 3 weeks). PM if you're interested.
The advantage is you can forget to grab the blue envelope clipped to your fridge for the last month and have to debate turning around a couple hours into your trip. Or just dealing with the hassle of the published “I forgot my tickets” process that eaa has…. Not that I know something about that from last year or anything…I just bought my weekly pass today, so e-ticket was the only option. What's the advantage of getting them mailed? I'm flying in, so I gotta get in line for GAC anyways.

When I sourced the tickets, there was a decent chance it would be a party of five. But neither Wayne, Lacey Chabert, or Jennifer Love Hewitt will be making the trip, so there's an extra set of passes.Who isn’t coming?
How often do you leave the grounds? We go in and out of the Waukau gate every day and they look. For the past two years I've never put my weekly band on. It's amazing how little that gets checked for.
Periodically, but I usually am in a private vehicle so once they figure the vehicle is allowed in, they don't look too carefully at the wristbands. How often do you leave the grounds? We go in and out of the Waukau gate every day and they look.
Well context is everything.Periodically, but I usually am in a private vehicle so once they figure the vehicle is allowed in, they don't look too carefully at the wristbands.
Nope - ordered it 10 days ago - same with the NOTAMI bought my week pass a few weeks ago, and opted to have them mailed. Has anyone got theirs yet?

This means it's about 15 days until I head that way. I've got lots to do to get ready!
14 days from right this minute I should have my feet up either in scholler or by one of the runways judging landings.View attachment 142475

My pilgrimage starts on the 15th so I've got to get the lead out (or in the tank as it were...)View attachment 142475

“Climb around” means climb to 2000 or 3000 feet?Standard yearly invite to anyone that wants to climb around on a T-6. PM me and we'll make it happen.

You never know... we fly most mornings and occasionally have an empty seat.“Climb around” means climb to 2000 or 3000 feet?![]()
Sign me up!!You never know... we fly most mornings and occasionally have an empty seat.
It can be done without packing up. The trick is having a sign made you up you can show the final group of marshallers what row you want go to when you return. If parked in GAC, are there any issues with leaving and returning in the middle of the week for a few hours? Would I have to pack up and pitch a new campsite?
What if I want to move? Say I fly out midweek to meet some friends and fly back in with them so we can camp together. Is my camping registration by row or area?It can be done without packing up. It’s been a minute since I camped with the plane but I wanna say it’s by area so you can pack up and get a new spot without issue. However it’s also possible that upon return if you were in N40 you could be sent to S40 as specific parking requests outside of GAC are not guaranteed. What if I want to move? You might want to try OSH instead of OKH, or you're gonna be about 1500 miles too far west. Also, avoid OKS.Night in Watertown the 21st and early into OKH on the 22nd and depart the 24th. Will be wherever they stick us in GAC - N8366N and a NH beer offer for anyone that stops by.
It can be done, just bring the fattest Sharpie or other marker you can find and write "ROW 543" (or whatever row you're in of course) in big letters under GAC. However, having done it a bunch, I don't really recommend it. Seems like people get confused by it, and I've had people come close enough to my prop trying to read the sign that I shut down. I also had one super annoying volunteer-supervisor type once who for some reason didn't believe me, and made me sit on a taxiway and wait while they sent someone out to verify that there was in fact a tent in that row missing its airplane. If parked in GAC, are there any issues with leaving and returning in the middle of the week for a few hours? It sounds like you're asking about the camping credentials you pay for. Should still be good, but I would go and tell them where you've moved your plane after you move it - IIRC they do keep track of what planes are in what rows in case of an emergency. What if I want to move? Usually not. Make a sign with your row number on it (in addition to the GAC) and they'll get you close. If parked in GAC, are there any issues with leaving and returning in the middle of the week for a few hours? Would I have to pack up and pitch a new campsite?
Put it on as loose as possible and you may be able to get it over your hand. Alternately, buy daily bands and ditch em every evening.I’m starting to put together my pile to pack, likely will need to drive but have not given up on flying yet. Building my pack list.
On the wristbands, I really dislike wearing stuff on my wrist. Is there a work around? Any way to take off at night?
