I've just booked the plane. It's a 172. I'm too chicken to take the other plane onto grass. Also I don't think I'd fit in the parking spot. Will call about cabin reservations tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I have a deposit from last time I had to cancel.

I’ll check with Susan about this year. With the house burning down we have a bit on our plate at the moment and might be ****ty company. Day trip at least.

And @strikes2k if you need a coach the first time we can meet at BPK and hop over. I’m a CFII.
 
I may go to this thing... Then hop on to Fayetteville to see daughter. I'll check later to see if there are rooms available

I'm thinking per the usual, pizza Friday (delivery since even I was disappointed by how far Chicago frozen pizza has fallen) then grillables on Saturday. I'll get one of those signup sheets rolling soon.
 
Anyone need a cottage?? Got to back out and too late to cancel. Sue had a fall and developed a brain bleed. Don’t know yet what treatment’s going to be, but pretty confident we won’t be flying on Friday. We’re both disappointed.

Damn, I was waiting to confirm that I had an airplane before I reached out to you. I was able to call them and it was still available. We are excited about finally making it to Gaston’s.
 
So as this weekend approaches, I keep thinking about what I need to bring, besides just normal travel stuff. Do we need to bring any food, or chairs, or anything else or is everything we need readily available at Gaston's? Looking forward to meeting everyone, and sorry to see some people had to bow out for various reasons.
 
Jill said she plans to bring stuff to make chili.

Might bring a folding chair for sitting on the deck. Once there, there's really not good options for getting into town for supplies. There's a restaurant at the lodge, but it's kinda pricey. We usually only hit it for breakfast Sunday morning.
 
Who has the "Main central cabin" this year? Where do we deposit our shareable snacks and what not?
 
I got a little tied up this year and couldn’t make a reservation. Anyone by chance have a room if I can make it down?
