Still, mostly true. You most likely are using fossil fuels (natural gas, coal) to get electricity to the source of charging... Home or on the road.

Depends on where you live. There's an electric car thread somewhere with some numbers. Iowa gets around 60% of its electricity from wind now. The USA gets about 40% of its electricity from nuclear and renewable sources.
