Lets make Friday 'Joke Day'!

The Geezer received a HAPPY FARTERS DAY CARD today

Fortunately, he has a good sense of humor, and laughed! :D

does the geezer laughing usually lead to passing gas

That card might backfire on the giver, eh?

They’re not?
Of course they are. It's like Par in golf. The better players (drivers) can get there faster. If you beat the time, you get an Eagle. If you beat the time without causing an accident, you get an ACE.

And if a cop picks you up on radar you’re a bogey.

I saw a young woman tell the older man she was with "Oh, Happy Daddy Day". She did not understand the strange looks she got about her father.

I did a six month stint working in Tempe AZ (just south of Phoenix) in the mid 1980's. Between there and Tuscon I-10 was a straight shot with one ~45 degree bend in the middle. The AZHP decided that a radar speed display on a overpass in the middle of one of those straight aways was a splendid idea. It took about three months, but they reprogramed it to only display dashes when you expceeded the speed limit. :D

At a former place of employ, I met a geneticist. From the first moment, I couldn't stand him. Frankly, there was nothing overtly objectionable about him. Despite the fact, I knew he was a nice guy, I couldn't even stand his breathing. It was very weird. I'd met folks I'd taken an immediate dislike to, but those were for cause. This guy was wholly innocent.

We were forced to work together rather frequently. Over a period of several months, we bonded first with my hobby of roasting coffee and having weekly office klatches in which I made a large vacuum pot of a personally roasted variety. It sounds frivolous but those informal kaltches brought together folks who generally did not associate and led to some very good science.

Over time, we became good friends. Years later he left the company to start his own coffee roastery which is still running. He also met growers in Nicaragua which he helped educate to hone their harvesting and processing procedures greatly improving their yields, quality, and profits.

Heh, my wife bought me a coaster for my desk with this saying on it. I laughed when she gave it to me. She didn’t understand why I laughed instead of thanking her and saying it was sweet.
She completely mis-read it in the store…
