Getting an iPad 2

I've been using two monitors for years and can't imagine working without two. Better yet, I found an app for my iPad2 that allows it to act as a screen too (Air Display $10). With 3 active screens now I'm very happy.

Great! Does that work only for a Mac? I loaded a Wyse application that allows me to remote control my work desktop via RDP when I'm connected via VPN. That was neat!

I ordered mine on 3/29 from Verizon, and it arrived 4/1 with no shipping charges.

That was fast. Apple is still showing about four weeks on their site.

As I understand the app, it works on PC's also.

Now I need to figure out how to load Dennstaedt's weather lessons onto it.

Unless he's changed something recently, his courses are flash based. Unfortunately, that's a non-starter on an iPad.

I got mine Wednesday. 5 days before the original shipping date, and a day sooner than the revised delivery date.
