Yes, those dates although I’m coming in Friday not Thursday.

For everybody else, Gaston’s says it’s a busy weekend so get your room booked

@crash7, we’re set.

Booked as well!

They currently have left:
8 units for the basic bedrooms ($130-$165)
1-2 remaining Ultra-Deluxes (2BR/2Bath, $315-345/ngt)

As Cranford mentioned -- that's a busy weekend for them and they don't expect the availability to last for long... don't delay! :)

I booked a room Friday leaving Sunday. I’m mostly confident I called the right Gaston’s…….

Found this in the POA archives. Gaston 2012 I think.

I booked and I'm thirsty.

well, I didn't book because I'm going, I just booked so when there's no more rooms left I can charge someone double for mine mmwwwahahahahahaa
Great, so are we. Looking forward to seeing you...with beer.

Looks very likely I'll have the beans out by the 17th, and the corn can sit in the field a couple days (unless there's a hurricane coming or something), So I booked today.

I had my choice of the last 1BR cottage, or the last 2BR Deluxe cottage. I took the single.

If anyone else is thinking about coming and wants to split the 2BR, let me know and I can try to change it.

Is there a spreadsheet? Do we have any current IT guys who know how to make one? Do we even need one?

Less than a month out.

I booked a 1BR the other week. At that time there was only 1 other 1BR cabin remaining (no 2BR), then the motel had rooms.

Are we doing any food prep stuff??

Pizza Friday?
Hamburgers and such Saturday?
Fend for yourself??

Planning to pick up burgers and brats from the butcher shop in town (using KBPK courtesy car). That seemed to be a winner last year.

May need to steal some refrigerator space since my hotel unit does not have one, I don't think.

Not long now! :)

Question: I figure the grillables will be on Saturday. Anyone wanna bring some frozen pizzas for Friday or other food stuffs?

Also, as an aside, somehow going into mid-october and Arkansas doesn't seem to be getting any cooler... If anything it looks like it's getting warmer into the 80s over the next 10 days.

Sign me up for pizzas. If folks haven’t signed up in the spreadsheet, please do so. I’ll grab enough pizza to feed the crowd though I’ll aim for fresh (and a deep dish).

I have an annual that looks like it is going to screw this up. I have a cabin booked for Thursday night and Friday night.

Anyone else planning on being there on thursday? If so would it be possible to hitch a ride from XNA to Gaston's?

Id be more than happy to, but we're not going down until Friday.

Getting to be like oshkosh where all the cool kids go early and leave before the end

Great idea on the frozen pizzas.

We’ll have a full kitchen

We’ll bring buns and condiments

We went ahead and rented a car. Driving in from XNA Thursday. Will be heading out Sat AM.
I have never been but I have heard rumors of a grocery store in the area. so if we need anything, we have ground transportation.

This is in no way a ploy to get out of having @eman1200 be able to determine the amount of legroom in the backseat of a highly spacious PA-24 as compared to whatever the numeric designator is of the Moonanza.

Although....

I actually, not surprisingly, have to bail. I do have a cabin I'm willing to pawn off for msrp if anyone is interested.

Wait.... you were actually planning on coming?

I was sure hoping to
Well that sucks. I thought you were just BSing.

We'll bring grilling supplies. Charcoal, starter, grill tools, etc. High chance of rain Saturday night, so we might want to do our grilling on Friday, OR maybe move the grill to the side of a muddy hill and make @SixPapaCharlie do it.

We’re doing a mini vacation in San Antonio now (very cool city by the way), and can’t also do Gaston’s. So much to do, so little time. Sorry to miss this one. Have fun.

It likely been 25 years or so since being in San Antonio. Great place to visit. The wife and I found a two story Mexican restaurant near the waterfront. The was a quite a long waiting line but it was worth it ... ;)

Likely cancelling.

We have tickets to a show in Dallas Saturday night we really cant miss.
It looks like if we go, there is a good chance I will be sitting on the ramp at XNA waiting for all the weather to pass, messing up that event for us.

OK - weather looks good on Friday to get in, good on Sunday to get out. And rain all day on Saturday.......... :sosp:

Any tips, advice on landing there? Anything I don't know that I don't know? I see you always land on 24, and always depart on 06. I have oversized tires on a 182P, so a 3200' grass strip should be fine.
