So last week I got back from an 8 day trip as Oshkosh. While I was there I got two GoPros, so I recorded my return trip. Here is the video I made: I plan on making more, and as soon as I get to take my CFI checkride, I want to make instruction videos and make videos talking about aviation to get people more interested. EDIT: Here is a new video I just posted:
Good video! Great job getting the engine started for your dad! Sometimes that is the hardest part of the flight. I flew up and back with my 20 year old son and had a great time together with him. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you! I fly this Mooney all the time (190 hours), so I know the feel for how it starts. At Oshkosh, they had us turn off the fuel, so the fuel lines were empty. The standard checklist says fuel pump 3 seconds, but that was not enough to build up the pressure. This is why when I do get to instruct, I am going to teach checklists, but also have a student study their aircraft systems for unusual situations like this one That's awesome. What did you fly? I have two more recorded, but I just have to edit them up. One is some fun formation flight with one other plane. Wow I didn't even notice that I did that. xD Thank you. I want to keep them from 5 - 10 minutes.
