Clean cut pizzas

I've actually been to your neighborhood! I'll bet you don't hear that often!
I spent a little time in Prince George at the paper mill there...a bunch of years ago when I used to travel for work. Nice area...but yeah, that's out there!

 

I kinda remember those days as a high point. It was when I found that the perfect hangover cure was a cold piece of pizza and a warm beer with a cigarette butt in it.

So glad I live in NY. I have 10 pizza places all within a 5 minute drive. And that’s not counting that horrific chain pizza like dominos or pizza hut.

 

90% are not the pizza you know, but there are some places in Canada with good pizza.

 

I was with some folks at a pizza place where they ordered their pizza from the old oven.

 

On what occasion would one want a square cut?

 

Someone who has a pocket protector maybe.

 

Kids, also cut into square slices.

All you have to do is watch Dave portnoy one bite reviews on YouTube. He stops at pizza places all over and gives it a review.

 

However, this does not sound like the case with the OP.

It might be cold, it might be a bit stale, and might be short a slice or three.
And there could be a lot of avgas charges hitting your visa/mc/amex... but go ahead and order.

 

I’ve seen places in the Midwest do square cuts on a round pie. Not sure why, but it eats just fine.

Yep. The professional pizza folks call it pie.... only rookies say pizza....

 

Oh hell no. A pie is a confectionary dessert. A pizza a conglomerate of cheeses, meats and more cheeses and meats.

 

It’s a regional thing, I think. Kind of like some people thinking barbecue sauce has vinegar in it.

 

I don't think I've ever tried that.

Now I really, really want one.

 

What if there's pineapple?

 

Please explain chicken pot pie, shepherd's pie and mincemeat pie.

 

Aberrations would seem an acceptable explanation.

 

I’m the wrong one to ask. Those defy logical explanation.

 

I owned and operated a pizza place for 18 years. If it’s not cut all the way through, the pizza cutting guy is lazy. We used a large, curved Pizza knife on a poly plastic board. Then slide the pizza into the box. Needed to be able to do this quickly on a busy night! I sold the place 22 years ago, but still make fresh, hot pizza every Friday night at home. Delicious!

 

We bought one of these... my wife calls it the "training bat'leth".
