Challenges in Self-Driving Car Development

Here's the Model 3 trip.

Ignore the drive times. Had different starting times of day so it was predicting different traffic. Look at the time spent charging.

stopping to sight see along the way, they likely do just fine.
Doesn’t that have its own issues, like being away from places that even have good charger access? That was my mistake in the first leg of our day trip - I wanted the picturesque route, not the interstates. BIG mistake!
Lesson 1 - use the route the car wants, not the route you want. That was the main message I suggested my Turo host emphasize in his first timers tutorial.

Sure, but I meant more along the lines of having time to burn during the trip because you weren't trying to get "to the destination".

I'd be more excited with a car that can drop me off downtown for an appointment and go off and find it's own parking spot.
I think that's kinda what a bus does. Who doesn't love a good urban bus ride???

In some parts of the country "good urban bus ride" is a contradiction in terms. (or would that be oxymoron?)
