Started my annual last week. Found a cracked exhaust valve. It's under the knife as I type this. It remains to be seen whether we'll be airworthy in time...
As I sit here at KDEN waiting to board my red eye home, I can’t help but realize that this trip commenced in little more than a week!
Keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to join N4984R. Avionics are putting on the finishing touches on my install.
My arrow is still in annual without any word from the shop on updates. Extremely annoyed. Their lack of progress is making my attendance increasingly unlikely
I believe I have one seat available. I’m checking now. You know…. It’s only an extra 97 miles if I make a lunch stop at Pik n Pig…
Still wrapping things up. Logbook entries are being completed and a fresh W&B hopefully done by Monday. Then flight checks and we’re off! Talk about down to the wire…
Well things have changed on our end. We aren't going to be able to pull this trip off. kinda bummed.... @_37Fox was going to be a flight of 2 with us but he isn't getting his Archer back from avionics as hoped.... Kinda bummed out....
I will not be able to make it this year . The shop doing my annual was way behind schedule and it's still locked up with them.
Just the call today that due to more issues (alternator and a failing/brand new skytec starter) it’s now not going to be flying this week. I’m sorry guys. I had really hoped to be able to join you.
Well... I'm still going. Probably staging in PCB. Since when are hotels downstate $400 a night???????????????
Something is missing here but I can’t seem to put my finger on it. Not going to make it this year. As an aside - 6 bolts?! Really, really strong bolts. That’s all that swings a 60 lb prop at nearly the speed of sound. Wow.
I just checked in to my place. Anything I post now won’t be very curated. ok… how about this to whet your appetite
