Ooohhh no, the Icon is a step backward.
Better would be quicker, more range, more space inside, increasing payload. Caravan, or Kodiak would be great, if not so outrageously expensive.

 

Here's the thing... I can go fly an Icon... right now. Well okay, not literally right now, but I'm a 45 minute drive from Vacaville, so in theory, I could probably be up in a demo flight by early afternoon. A 206 float plane? I need to get a Basicmed worked out, plus I don't have a seaplane rating. I guess if I operate it on land only I don't need one, I'm not sure how that works out.

Like I said, define better. The Icon fits in my garage. The 206 on floats? Not so much. If the thing would cost a quarter of what it does, I might even bite.
