    Electronic ignition -1-mag

I took the plunge and bought a sure fly (sim) and now am curious about things as I dive deeper… It appears the most common method is to replace the left (impulse) mag with the electronic one… according to sure fly you can buy ei for either mag (under different part numbers). I bought the impulse...

    Io-470-k debonair upgrade

i just purchased a debonair with an up-470-k (225 hp). 1400hrs) I also already have an io-470-f (260 hp) 1300 hrs. Ultimately I would like to do the 260hp upgrade to the debonair which I believe makes it an -n model (260hp). My idea is to leave the "k" model on the airframe and fly it while I...

    Viking vs Debonair

Another random thought bouncing around my empty head is that a Viking might be "pay as you go" making it attractive to jump into, a deb might be a pay more up front & cheaper airframe maint....but when you pay as you go on a Viking you never see that $ back on resale.... I realize u never get...

    Viking vs Debonair

As far as maint, my Bellanca had aging fabric, that was looming in the background, as recovering costs more than the plane is worth... so consequently I never wanted to leave my airplane out overnight on a trip or heaven forbid have it rained on.... mechanical maint might be similar but...
