I appreciate hearing all calls when I am in the area of an uncontrolled field, but as others have said the tail number isn't much help most of the time. "Red and white cessna" is helpful. Also, lot of people confuse upwind and departure leg.

Turns out the split was at a previously repaired part of the spinner. The opposite side was also repaired at some point in the past and was starting to crack - not yet visible through the paint.
