Thanks for pointing out the Fltplan app. It looks pretty nifty, and certainly will do the trick for me! I am just wondering: generally, you are either the customer or the product of a company - if they give you free stuff, the second is more likely... So what is Fltplan's business model?

Not sure about that... Many commonly used fire extinguishers are dry power. Not sure I want to try that in a closed environment. There is a reason aircraft typically have Halon extinguishers installed.

As far as I can tell the required visa for flight training is a hot potato that neither the state deportment nor the DHS wants to be responsible for... Is there a web page somewhere that could shine some light on what's actually required in practise?
