    T6 question

So I'm sitting in the front seat of this T6 and looking straight ahead. There is a bracketed small rectangular piece of plexiglass sitting on top of the panel. I was told it was a gunsight. How does it work? There is no crosshair or marked in anyway, it's just a plain piece of 3"x5" plexi...

    J3 or c150/152

A buddy who just got his license asked me for advice for an entry plane. He's all torn up on going with a classic or a c150. His other buddy keeps on pushing him toward the c150 because he said that they're a lot easier to fly, safer, and more modern stuff (nav lights/vor/etc). I told him to...

    Integrated Garmin avionic stack

Not as much as an IFR legality issue as just being able to slap the whole stack in without the risk of failling a friendly ramp check. Sporty's lists the Garmin panel avionics as "experimental aircraft only" :dunno:

    Pa-12 vs Pa-18

Thanks all. The 12 seems like a pretty good bargain compared to the supercub. Arnold: thanks for the link. Is the flap mod expensive to do?

    Pa-12 vs Pa-18

Is there any "real world" functional advantage between the Pa-12 vs a Supercub?

    Legend Cub factory?

I've never visited the factory but given the friendliness and how enthusiastic the whole legend crew is about their fantastic plane, they will probably fight among themselves to give you a demo ride.... :D

    ? for rotorheads

Bob, This is in Virginia Beach,VA. A friend's neighbor. He doesn't mind because it is just once in a great while. I was surprised because the landing area is very small and tall trees are all around except for just one end (like a horseshoe). Not a lot of room for error.

    ? for rotorheads

Can you land a chopper in a residential area? Any requirements (besides not presenting danger to other people/property?)? Does it have to be a designated or approved zone?:dunno:
