the "not worthy of it's own thread" thread

chicago and pizza are two words that just don’t go together… like congressional ethics

Their hotdogs are weird, too. Chicago I mean. I've never had a hotdog in DC.

My wife is mad at me.

After church we went to my moms house for lunch. We had a nice pot roast with everything on it, except celery. Also corn, salad, dinner rolls with apple pie and ice cream for dessert. We were pretty much finishing up eating when my wife cut off another small chunk of meat and put it on her plate. She then cut it up to bite size pieces and proceed to feed them to the dog using her fork. Instead of feeding the dog the last bite, she used her fork and put the last piece in her mouth. I was about to say something but it was too late. She ate off of the dogs fork....

That is not why I am in trouble. She is mad at me because I can't stop laughing...:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Am I crazy for delaying pursuit of my multi-add on in lieu of a tail wheel endorsement? I mean, I’ve been flying for years but also want to be a real pilot…

How well do you think you use your feet as is?

Did anyone think we’d get to where a quarterback would be paid a guaranteed quarter of a Billion dollars?

So I spring for a Tripplite UPS. It's so nice that QA puts a slip of paper in the box indicating that the UPS passed a number of QA tests. Verrrrry impressive...

It would have been more impressive if the serial number of the unit tested matched the unit in the box. oops.

Nice QA there Tripplite.

At least the serial number on the unit and the box match.

Fly multi engine tailwheel and you’ll be the realest real pilot ever.

The 7-month saga that has been last year's annual inspection of Peggy is nearing the end. Yesterday I received the invoice. Despite it being 3 times the AMU quoted 6+ months ago, I do not want to argue. I just want my plane back.

1- amazing patience you have
2 - is your next annual now due in 5 months? (I kid :) )
3 - what may I ask did they have to do to Peggy?

It was 2 months' worth of work (223 shop hours) crammed into 7 calendar months. It was my first annual with this plane so I was prepared for the cost, but not the length of time it would take to complete. The big time suckers were fuel tank reseals (92 hrs) and corrosion repair/prevention(52 hrs).

Does it really take 9.5 hrs to change a magneto? Asking for a friend.

That didn’t take long

Got this e mail ad from Gazelle

This Sale SLAPS Will You Grab A Deal Before They Rock Away??

Well crap. I had just started to watch it.

Two and a half months fixing a major fuel leak. Now it only weeps fuel ...

**but only cause there’s no hockey on***

***and also because no shtoopy time for eman

Hockey was on the big screen all day. And the outlet doesn’t bother me enough to be worth the extra effort. :)

I’m no electrician but when you have us over for the first ‘theisenfest’ I’ll help drill holes in your house.

It would have been easy enough to do had I thought about it at the time, but then I would be cursing every time I went to plug in something else. I can live with the wire.

If ever had a Giants fan at my house, I certainly wouldn’t let them near my power tools. :)

Flew a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon. Very odd. No Safety Pilot, no view limiters, no approaches, no flight plan filed. No practicing of maneuvers, drilling for an upcoming practical, no cross country. I just flew VFR to another airport, got out and talked shop a little with others hanging in the FBO, stretched my legs, and flew back the same way. Looking out the windshield, using landmarks as much as I was the GTN.

Just flying around, enjoying the flight. No where had to be and a lot of time to get there.

Crazy, eh?

Broom Hilda is down for her annual. I’m upgrading the nav lights to LED and strobe. Adding a switch for the anti-collision lights aka strobes. Installing the EI CGR-30 engine monitor, and rebuilding the front strut and painting it. And lastly I’m installing eyeball air vents on the panel while moving or getting rid of a couple of instruments to accommodate. Now I just wish I could find a 1” fiberglass wye fitting since I can’t use pvc

So you’re not flying her again till December? All that work must take at least 8 months, right?
