Help me fundraise my PPL(A) Course

Hate to say it, but if you cant afford the training, you wont be able to afford to use it afterwards either.
 
so sorry, hounds out for cleaning - will incessant ragging by various POA posters suffice?
 
I'll help pay for yours if you help pay for my daughter's flight training.

Using the "thread tool -> ignore" feature is a lot simpler and more expeditious than lambasting the poor soul for a few dozen---or hundred---posts.

OP, here's a thought....get a J-O-B and pay for it yourself like the rest of us.

And if youre double smart, your also NOT go into debt to do it

That sounds like a good idea. I know that the management committee normally require a number (4?) of posts before one with a link is allowed. Why did this one get through?

Actually, I think he fully intends to take flight, after he gathers enough money.
 
Get a job and pay for your training like everyone else here has.
 
I had many dreams or life goals when I was young. One of them of course was to get a PPL and buy my own plane. I have checked off many of my life goals including the PPL and plane. Other than a good upbringing from my parents, no one put dollar one in my pocket to achieve my dreams. I earned it! And more importantly, I am glad that I had to earn it myself. When things are handed to you that you don't have to work for, they do not hold any real meaning. Think of the rich kid that gets everything on a silver platter - he has no real appreciation for what he has because he sacrificed nothing to get it. Go out and earn it and you will be better for it.
 
In high school I worked as a florist delivery driver driving pink vans, pink, like super bright pink, all over the place for $7 an hour plus horrible tips (the rich neighborhoods tip the worst). Later on I started my own tutoring gig. Except for an hour or two as a birthday present from the rents, I paid for the whole thing myself. Started at 14, license at 18.

Earn it instead of asking for it, you'll appreciate it that much more.

This has been done successfully here before, but you need to submit a written essay of at least 500 words as the other successful people, who are now pilots, did. The last person who followed this instruction easily surpassed his financial goal within a few days after submission of his essay..... otherwise forget it.

The subject of your essay should be "The economic benefit of a hydrogen economy, where hydrogen is used as currency and our main energy source, while all waste heat generated is collected and the resultant water from combustion is condensed, collected and shipped to California"

Punctuation and grammar are important, good luck, look forward to reading your essay.

Nope, and honestly I never post on message boards but this was too much to pass up. Full disclosure: I have only been pursuing this life-long dream for about 6 weeks and I only have 15 hours on the books, but it has hold of me...

Seriously though, OP look at the people on YouTube like MrAviation101 or FlightChops. Those people are actually getting some money for flying. I would guess that if they worked out the number of hours the spend editing videos that their hourly rate is well below minimum wage. But, still, it's probably the best way to fund your training that isn't a real job. Certainly a heck of a lot better than asking for free money and giving nothing in return.
 
These responses are so strange.

When I posted my kickstarter campaign for My PPL a couple years back, It was funded within a few weeks by the nice folks here at POA.

All these guys, Narchee, Mike, Henning, Aunt Peggy... All very Generous.
I got my PPL and then started another to get me a plane and the results once again were great. I have an ErCoupe, and a TriPacer. Couldn't believe I would end up with two. Thanks Cpt_Kirk for helping there.

And then they pretty well keep my insurance and fuel fund loaded.

Geico paid for my hangar (very nice sir)

Crap, that reminds me, The Tripacer has an Annual coming up. Aggie Mike, I'm lookin at you. "Pockets" we sometimes call him because he is always digging in and giving money to other members.

Really shocked by these responses.
 
Don't sweat it guys, I just forwarded him an email from my friend that I don't remember, Prince Alija Mabutu of Nigeria. He's gonna set him up with £13MM. He was going to give it to me, but I figured this kid needed it more.
 
Speaking of this... which one of you sorry saps wants to pay for my RV (the four wheeled kind) this month?
