What didn't you do today?

Didn't harvest today. 2/3 of my help was at the big sportsball game.

I did some laps in the pattern to keep my engine limbered up as she hasn't flown in two weeks. I've never seen the ramp at cmi so full. Probably 15 jets and 20 pistons flew in for the game.

Also replaced a bad bearing on the corn head and got everything ready to go for tomorrow. Put the grain doors in all the bins and set up the conveyors. 220 acres of corn goes to the elevator and 160 to bins on the farm. Looking forward to getting harvest over with. We can do 100 acres in a good day, so the end is in sight.

Drove bottom wing skin rivets for two hours as a nightcap. Inboard skins are done, so that's about half way. This particular step is so slow. It's discouraging. For the first time i find myself not really wanting to go work on it. Id like to take a couple days and just knock it out so I can move on. Maybe next week.

I didn't search for a new PCP/GP. My former of 20 years suddenly closed her practice and refused to give a recommendation.
She was great.
 
I did not touch up paint the side of the basement wall, because not only might it rain tomorrow, but it might snow. No kidding.
 
I did not complete the repair of my GR-12 scissorlift in the hangar, because despite doing a big re-wiring job for a new-style motor controller (after getting fed up with 3 chinesium component frauds) -- I apparently at some point accidentally kicked (?) the Aux basket lowering valve. So the basket creeps down at about an inch per minute.

New genie part arrives Wednesday. All I wanted to do was grease the hangar door track, and it turned into an $800 refurbishment project. Very aviation on-brand. :D

I DID NOT lay up any fiberglass for the windscreen fairing on the RV-8. I seem to be suffering from analysis-paralysis. If I epoxy that danged slider shut, I think I'm gonna be really tempted to light the hangar on fire and go to Mexico (jk...:biggrin::biggrin:o_O).
