I can sell you expensive stuff that will weld.
Was foolishly looking at laser tube cutters yesterday. After the cardiologist visit I'm back to reality for plasma tube cutter

I attended a 'graduation ceremony' for a ground school course. And I'm fittin' to grill some tri tip and chicken for dinner.

Talked to a couple of guys who want to start a Flying Club with Classic planes. They have a nice looking Ercoupe and are planning on adding a Piper Tripacer.

Maybe "a thing" only in California?
It’s kinda like Preschool Graduation. ;)
For what it's worth, cutting the sleeves off of one's tee shirt or whatever apparel mutilation thing that some people do when they solo isn't a California thing, as far as I know.

The cake had an edible Northern California sectional chart printed on it. SMF's Class C was the first thing to get ate.

How about a $90k beveling machine? Cuts like butter.
The used 27,000 hour laser machine is more appealing. Had a use for a beveler exactly twice. And that was only because the customer gave me wrong numbers the first time.

This one they use a lot in building wind towers.

tweaked my back......using a screwdriver. but now I have AC so I can be in pain in cool comfort.

finally night current on the multi again (last night)

Today, right this instant as a matter of fact, I'm pleading with you all to stop using the words 'chicken breast' and start using 'chicken titties'. I started years ago, and it has made life so much better.

This post made me hungry. I only ever crave Chick-Fil-A on Sundays, so there will be no chickee bazooms (spicy) for my breakfast today. :P

Just doing my part.

I'm writing a letter to Sheila G., the inventor of Brownie Brittle, to tell her "inventing" burnt, thin brownies was stupid. Just because she can't cook a proper brownie, doesn't make her a food inventor. If I could go back in time, I would prevent her from ever picking up a mixing bowl, and set us back on a timeline that doesn't have burnt brownies on store shelves.

And my wife wouldn't become a silly person that buys brownie brittle.

Done:
-Went to church
-Nested 15 pro boxes & loaded on a trailer to return tomorrow
-Mowed the lawn
Still on the agenda:
-Service Teresa's car
-Grill dinner

Since @Fiveslide slide mentioned Korean, I'm assuming he's talking about something under 50-60hp. Fwiw, Deere and everyone else DO have online configurators that will spit out a price.
Well, kinda but not really. If you select anything from the "Attachments" page, it doesn't give you a number at the end, it spits you back into "request a quote" and makes you select a dealer to get the quote from.

28 tabs open on the browser is next level ADD
Oh please. I have 473 open on my phone and on my desktop I have 21 windows totaling 232 tabs... And that's after I closed four windows' worth because writing this prompted me to cycle through all of them.

I swear, I'm going to read all of them someday.

Rearranged the entire front half of the garage/workshop in order to try and make room for a new gravity feed smoker/bbq and riding lawnmower. 6 hours of moving and rearranging only to find out that there isnt room for the bbq once the two motorcycles, riding mower, snowblower, pressure washer storage rack and truck are in there.

Check that, 3 motorcycles and 2 shop vacs also in that mess.

Finished my little landscaping project - lawn edging, and spread 40 bags of mulch. I got smart today and waited until it cooled off a bit. Even still, this was when I was done. Burning cals, building endurance, mobility and recovery - that was my workout the last couple days.IMG_1596.png

Moved some large rocks with my daughter's help and built stone steps from the back bedroom door of our cabin down to the small patio on the cliff edge. It was supposed to just be raking and clearing a space to toss some wildflower seeds but I got sidetracked.

Went shore fishing with my sons

I got to do a sweet air-to-air shoot at an airshow... epic for me!

I took a shower in my garage.

I showed a neat trick to a girl at the gym who was unable to free a too-tight locking knob on a leg machine.

The free weights, starting with the ten pounders, have slotted handles. Find a ten weight, and use the slot as a wrench to free the T knob.

Told my wife a few times I don't have any particular place in mind to go to for dinner tonight.

she insists we go somewhere for my birthday.

Cut grass for about 10 hours. We bought a house that borders our farm property, and the previous owner is an 'eccentric' hermit type who let his lawn return to native prairie grass. I normally bag the grass clippings, but needed to bushwhack this jungle and get it to a manageable level before that could begin. Our zero turn Gravely is pretty well integrated with the bagger blower etc, so I had to make the initial passes with a different machine.

House came with a nice Cub Cadet tractor that hadn't been operated in years, with a little 48" deck and a snow blower. It had oil leaks and mouse nests in the cooling shrouds, so I pulled the B&S V-twin during the winter, disassembled everything, cleaned, replaced crank seals on both ends, changed oil and gas, etc.

Made windrows with that, then made a second pass to chop everything up a little finer, then came back with the Gravely and sucked up all the clippings and dumped them in the woods. Then mowed the whole farm grounds.

I was reasonably whooped but got an hour of biplane time in right before sunset.

Why can't we just have a thermostat and set it at 70? If it's 68 the heat comes on. If it's 72 the AC
You can... Or at least I can. Set it to "Auto" instead of Heat or AC.

However, in Wisconsin in the spring and fall, that leads to the heat running at night and the AC running during the day and adding hundreds of extra dollars to your energy bill, when "Off" is quite a reasonable setting a lot of the time. It's just that we're not gonna hit 70 in the next 10 days because of the polar vortex breakup, so I wanted to keep it comfortable.

Happy birthday! I'm not really into celebrating getting older these days either... You could always just go to your favorite $100 burger spot so you get a flight in at least.

She hasn't had a lot of birthdays with you so she's still gonna want to do stuff, but you can encourage the end of that if you want. My father-in-law sent my mother-in-law black balloons, a big bouquet of flowers with a big "Happy 40th birthday" sign in it, and all of that sort of stuff at work... On her 39th birthday, so she had to spend the entire day insisting she really wasn't 40.   Legend!

oil shower?

hydraulic fluid shower?

:)
Nope. Im building an apartment above my detached garage. An actual shower. Wanted to test the water pressure and if the water heater was hot enough. The garage that was there didn't have electric or plumbing. Raccoons were living in the loft above. Foundation is a term I'll use loosely. Jacked up the old structure. Took a chainsaw to the lower half. Poured an actual foundation and a new slab with proper pitch. Then tore the roof and made a bigger loft. IMG_1044.jpegIMG_1045.jpegIMG_1043.jpeg

Nice. It's kind of a Ship of Theseus project: replace the bottom, and then put a new top on it.

All in the name of myob. Get the bottom done while leaves are up. Side it. Wait for next spring until the leaves come back and take care up above.
