What did you do today?

Added dock builder to my resume, because of wind damage.

Worked the morning shift @ The National Museum of the USAF. Then laundry and a spin around the neighborhood on my Geezer 2 Wheel Scooter.

Cleaned out a hoarders house. Took 8 of us about 3 days. Holy cow, I had no idea someone could live like that. Found 56 pistols and thousands of rounds of ammo buried under mounds of ‘stuff’.
I have over 40lbs of smokeless powder...for one rifle chambering (three different competition rifles with the same chambering) and just ordered 15K 180gr Berger hybrid target bullets. I still have over 35lbs of other powders on hand for other chamberings and testing. Disclaimer- I shoot competition that has me burning through 3-4 barrels a year at around 1200-1500rds/barrel. My friends who shoot competition pistol say my numbers would reflect a frank amateur in their realm.

When the apocalypse happens, I know who to call.

:) In terms of number of rounds downrange, maybe. But if you're shooting out pistol barrels in the competition types I'm aware of, you're doing something dreadfully wrong.

Jeremiah Johnson and “bear claw” types would be my first pick if given a choice for the first year or two, then the Amish. Lol.

Yes, referring to round count only. ‘Bottleneck’ rifle cartridges, particularly the magnums preferred in the long range game, are hell on the throat area and the accuracy lifespan is relatively short compared to pistol barrels.

This morning 41mi, 2200ft elevation, 18.8 avg speed. Chillaxing in the recliner, hill climb ride at six.

Wrote some code to take some very badly formatted data of over 2100 aircraft and make it usable so I can determine what planes will and will not fit in various hangar sizes for the TN property.

That sounds like a job for regex

This seems like paralysis by analysis territory

Wtf happened?

Also, how are you posting with both thumbs being inop
Using talk to type. Left eye still swollen closed, so hard to read right now.

The the injuries were not caused by a car.Or an airplane or my wife.

Copy source to Excel, and then VBA with a For nested in a Do While to format it.
But the source had every conceivable format for feet and inches, and then meters thrown in as well. Along with text in parentheses in the data. So it was a few iterations.

Didn't take long, and now I know that an A320 will not fit in a 60 x 48 hangar.

Went aircraft spruce. Was such a delightful experience I turned around and went back.

Finally stopped trying to go off of YouTube how to videos for rebuilding and indexing a late 60’s Evenrude fuel pump and just took a few minutes to stop and examine the “rubic’s cube” of different pieces to see how it should work then successfully ran it in a barrel for a half hour.

I almost got completly dressed by myself this morning.

My life in a nut shell:

Try taping your thums tightly to your hands then try simple things like getting dressed, eating and bowel movements without assistance...

Oh ya....double vision went away.

For no reason at all, those would have been my first three guesses. Not necessarily in that order.

Hope you're mended up soon!

From what I remember and what my wife told me, it was wind, gravity and a trash can.

I remember some really strong strong wind gust. I rounded the corner of the garage, and something hit me in the face. The next thing I remember is saying d*mmit real loud and being inside the can with my wife crying and trying to pull me out. I don't know what got my thumbs. I did retrieve my pistol on the way out but left my glasses.

Injury list... small, minor cut on forehead, one heck of a shiner, sprained neck, pinched nerves in neck, left shoulder sprain, left thumb bone shattered and repaired, left index finger and left middle finger sprain, right thumb bone simple fracture. Lot of soreness all over.

I feel bad for Mrs zeldman. She saw everything and thought it had done me in. I am pretty sure I never lost consciousness and I reported it thst way to the doctor.

I did tell the emergency room folks that it was a good thing I put on clean underwear that morning.

Well that sucks. I know of at least two people who have survived actual airplane crashes with less damage to themselves.

Yeah, years of car racing, bush pilot and a few other things and I never got tore up like this.

Those green garbage cans really should come with a warning label...
