Go up a hammer size.Sweated completely through my shirt, bumped my head only once, finally got the collar off, and it looks like the replacement might not fit exactly.
I hate to hit "LIKE" on this, but I admire the willingness to tell Uber to stuff it at after that experience! Hope the hotel is relaxing after a day like that!Tried for 2 hours to get an Uber from the hotel to the airfield. Some guy finally saw me sitting dejectedly on the curb and offered me a ride.
Wound up flying all the way from Ohio to Kansas. Unfriendly winds so it was close to 7 hours in 2 legs, with a very fast fuel stop in Salem, IL. Very weird FBO building.
Was so angry at Uber that I walked the 2 miles from the airport to my hotel in Kansas.
Have you heard of Lyft?Tried for 2 hours to get an Uber from the hotel to the airfield. Some guy finally saw me sitting dejectedly on the curb and offered me a ride.

Quite frankly, I do find the name humorous. In polite company it’s probably called a “stool stool.”Laugh at the pooping stool. But it's a game changer

which made me laugh
Always the best response to a hothead.
I once walked away while getting yelled at. This was on a job set up days in advance. And the safety guy was giving me a hard time because someone ****ed in his wheaties apparently. After his third time to yell some nonsense about probably not even having a town work permit I decide it's time to pack up. My welder was running. It's hard to hear. All I hear is "ohhh he's walking away, now he's got an attitude!"Always the best response to a hothead.
Or a pick-up truck.Grateful I never stepped up to a twin engine right about now.
Just in time for harvest. Burning about 300 gallons a day. Now they're talking about maybe not even being able to get diesel at all. Sigh.Filled up car gas, saw total, almost barfed.
Filled up airplane gas, saw total, did barf.

Hope you won't be out of commission for too long!Started my recovery from hernia surgery, getting a bunch of TV time
Jet A?Just in time for harvest. Burning about 300 gallons a day. Now they're talking about maybe not even being able to get diesel at all. Sigh.
You're a better man than I am, Gunga Din. I had a root canal redo last month, and that day I took a nap. The next day, I think I watched television. The second day I was back to normal. It was a sideways one this time, but even after the first one fifteen years ago I wasn't doing handy work the same day.Had a root canal this morning, then painted the new landing gear for the Parrakeet, gonna let it bake in the hot fabric garage for a week before reassembling next week. Then some lathe work, made new Delrin spacers for the landing gear springs and made a new brass fill/vent plug for the brake reservoir (the old one was plastic, and had broken through the vent/safety wire holes).
Not pull so hard?Flew my first practice flight at Nationals. Grayed out a little on one pull. I know what I did and how to avoid it.

Happy I am not driving a diesel truck! Good thing I switched to a 150 from the 250 I was wheeling last year getting 10 MPG.11Or a pick-up truck.
Rolled a little cross-country into my new student's tailwheel training/Champ transition. I didn't even know a 7AC could climb that high.![]()
Wouldn't you die because you crashed into the ground after pulling and GLOCing and thus loosening your grip on the stick and/or your pull strength when pointed downwards? It seems that pointed down would be the worst time for a GLOC.It all sounds scarier than it is. Nobody has ever died from G-Loc in the history of an IAC contest. The advanced and unlimited pilots are flying orders of magnitude harder than I am.
