Upper Door Latch Cherokee 160

We have a 1961 Cherokee 160 in our flight school and it has a door closing issue. I am the mechanic on sight and have searched the web looking for an STC to replace the old style latch with the current one. It has the pin in the forward post of the door and a latch that it like the on at the middle of the door at the aft upper section. It's horrible and won't stay closed no matter what I adjust. Before I just start 'shotgunning' parts at it, does anyone know of an STC to replace it? I know it will be a big job but anything to keep it closed. Thank you.

What's the part number of the latch assy?

Also call Piper Tech support for an OEM option as I seem to recall an upgraded latch was available but not sure what models.
