Luckily I was leaving Chicago yesterday and not trying to get in. Hopefully Thursday is good weather.

Once I on on the other side of IOE (Sunday) I will start publishing what I have been documenting. I just don't want to do a big write - up / video followed up by "But then I washed out". If I can include the washing out part in the initial post it will be way easier :)
 
I did survive the first trip though.
Eren joined one leg and there were only about 30 people on board so they put her in first class and gave her a glass of wine.
I nailed the landing back into DFW so she thinks I am a good pilot.

I still can't believe after only 2 months I know what all of those buttons do

Awesome news! If you don't show up for your first leg with a GATS jar to be used for drinking, I'm not sure you can be allowed back here.

Weve only met twice so this means nothing coming from me but I'm happy for your adventure, proud of ya and hope you enjoy the ride.
 
I passed my IOE check ride today.
Now it's all official. I absolutely buttered two landings in the 175 today.

I'm not going to lie, it's kind of cool when strangers are fist bumping you on the way out of the airplane telling you that was a fantastic landing and I don't have to point at the captain and say it was his leg

So that makes it official I'm an airline pilot so I'm pretty much an expert at everything now.

In GA a lot of folks get to solo and stop because that’s an accomplishment they can cross off their list. No harm if u walked away, u could be proud.

This is the shirt I wear when I meet a new consulting client. Until you can confidently wear that, you're not an expert at everything yet. But, congrats for being an airline pilot now. I knew you had it in you when you safely flew me to Spinks to pick up my Comanche lol. The way you avoided that airliner that was on a head on collision with us was masterful!
