If anyone has any BIG NEWS, post it here.

My big news of the day is brisket at the pig

But I’m willing to bet someone has that beat.

Anyone?

@eman1200 it wasn't *this* weekend, but a couple weekends ago we were at KJNX. The buffet isn't cheap, but it's spelled D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! If you know, you know!20250719_140725.jpgGridArt_20250810_151236084.jpg

That's great.
I had a cold beer at lunch today.

Edit: AFTER my last MV Sim session. Never before. They probably don't like it when you do it in reverse.

But he had the brisket, not the links.
Granted, but he referred to the place as "the pig", so it could be pig news.

Here's some big news: Yesterday, while in the Fast Six final qualifying for today's Bitnile Grand Prix of Portland, Alex Palou went off track and struck a tire wall. I mean, he just never does that.

We have enough beer/wine leftover from the wedding to last us a couple or three days!

Maybe this doesn't fit here, but it's big news to us. Digital pictures from the grand re-opening of 6Y9 in 2006 have been found and now put on the website. They have only been "missing" for the last 19 fly ins.

Not really news but I may or may not have just become an airline pilot.

Let me double check my temporary airman certificate real quick....

Yeah, it says ATP, type rating in the E-170 and E-190.

If anybody needs to hook up on little tiny bottles of liquor let me know I think I get a super deep discount on those things now along with biscoff and ginger ale

I'm gonna assume you didn't post a test question on facebook while you were taking the test?

congrats, and I'm still not gonna call you captain.

Like I said on Facebook, this should make the FSDO visits even more entertaining!

About damn time, those “Best of” editions of Just Plane Silly were getting old. :)

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations; I know you’ve worked hard to get to this place. After the new plane smell wears off, let us know if it’s all you cracked it up to be.

If you don't bring at least a couple cases of those Biscoff cookies to 6Y9 you are dead to me.

Big News: I just completed my final project for my Bachelor's degree lol. Only took 19 years to get here. I never finished and I don't really need the degree - I managed to build a career just fine without it - but it always bothered me that I started something and didn't finish so over the last six months, I completed the last few required courses.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Well done, sir!

Now when do you start grad school?

I have two doctorate degrees and never finished my baccalaureate. During the pursuit of the PhD, I figured I could get credits from the two doctorate degrees to carry over and give me the 9 credit hours I needed....but...UNO said negatory. They wanted two semesters, about 12hrs and near $8,000 for the B.S.. I had the opportunity, at no additional cost, to finish a third doctorate in just over the same amount of time. I figured more of the alphabet soup behind my name was no going to make me a better surgeon and passed on all.

I received this news today (8/16/25) and not a moment too soon ...
