Rough River dos mil veinticinco (that’s 2025 en Español) 2I3 - 4/25 - 4/27

Can’t wait for the meeting next year… what are the potentioal dates? We have to have something to look forward to.

So, might there be another engine in your future? :D
Well I really thought my next plane would be the twin Comanche but then I got into this big mental debate because it doesn't buy me anything.
Same speed, same useful load, same cabin. Its really just a more expensive to maintain Comanche. It looks cool though and I want to look cool so I'm thinking, Duke!

FWIW, I threw a lot of fuel on the "Ed's stripe is pink" fire.
Let me be the first to note that this is what I flew to the fly-in.

Now, those are some red stripes.

This year there was more Comanches there than any other model. Low wings definitely ruled. And Pipers reigned supreme.
And Friday night, all retracts. We had 4 fixed gear show up Saturday; interestingly 3 of those were eab's.

Upside Down Scud-Running, coz Cessna mounted the wing in the wrong place.

Last planes standing at RR2025...

For all the weather that we had early on, it was airliner smoothness on Sunday while on our way back.

C YA...!!!

Unpopular take:

The south cabins are more level. Everyone get scooters and hang out there instead.
It’s FAR but the cottages are bigger and the attached balcony could be a hang out spot too!

We were there a couple years ago. We had no wheels. It's a hike! I'd say it would be quieter down there too, but we ARE the noize! :p

mapping out the distance on google maps from the ramp, the cabins we stay at are just over 1300' or so, the far cabins are 3300'. BIG difference, but if they had a gaggle of golf carts I'd prob do it.

Well, it's a *little* faster isn't it?

I do think you should buy a Duke to look cool. And then buy a Twinkie to actually fly because the Duke will be in the shop.

Did anyone get a photo or video of me taking off or landing at RR?

Are you sure you want that published?

I don't think I actually witnessed you taking off or landing, or anyone really. I was a lazy slug this weekend.

I took no pictures of video of anyone or anything. Someone may get a nomination to a cabinet or court position someday, and I don't want to be the reason they don't get confirmed. Ah, who am I kidding no one in this group would get nominated for that. I'm just lazy and don't take pictures.

I’ve been nominated for a few things. None of which I would have accepted since a) no pay or b) would require physically impossible contortions or c) would be not acceptable in polite company.

“I second that nomination”. :)
