Hello,
I did a no-no and was charged with Minor in Possession last week, a alcohol related charge. I filed a DPA with the state of Florida and am getting the charges dropped for a fine, and a 90 day period of no getting in trouble. A DPA is NOT a conviction, nor an admission of guilt. As this is NOT a MVA, is it required to be reported according to 14 CFR 61.15(e)? Further down the page in that same regulation it states "under 14 CFR Part 61, you must report alcohol- and/or drug-related administrative actions, whether a conviction took place or not."
What is an administrative action? I'm not convicted, nor have I admitted guilt to the state. However, this sounds like something that would need to be reported. If it IS, do I report both to the Security and Hazardous Materials Safety Office & my AME when I go in for a medical renewal?
I have read mixed answers from threads up to 15 years old about people in a similar position.
Thank you.
