I mean it is right there.
At the hibachi place. Dude rolls the meat cart over.
The bottom shelf is there sooooo close. The woman next to me seems tipsy and a little obnoxious.

I could just slip off my shoe and play footsie with her shrimp.
She would be none the wiser...

This is really taking more self control than it should. I mean who has these impulses..
I really think the main reason I don't is because I don't want my socks to smell like shrimp and salmon. I don't even wear @Sac Arrow level socks either.

Not to this place anyway.

I could totally do it...

Wonder if anyone has ever put their feet in my food....

I just read the title and wondered what kind of off-color discussion this is going to be.

Go for it.
But then, there is that karma thing.
Forever after this event you will wonder, what body part or fluid has contacted your egg, steak, potato, burger, milkshake, etc.

She said "do it do it!" Then she slipped her shoe off and joked about doing it but neither of us would really messed with someone's food.

I wouldn't do that....you could get salmonella...from licking your toes.

Yeah that's gross, and look how dirty the carpet is, you didn't eat there did you?

Wait a minute, this is about shrimp? The title said fish? I want my money back.

Those shrimp look un-a-peeling to me. They wouldn't knock my socks off.

Maybe she meant do something else? I dunno :dunno:.... what else did she slip off? Hmmmmm?

Meh, its Jinbeh. We were done eating and that was the next table's food.
The floor was a bit messy because the "cook" had just done his thing where food gets tossed around, etc.
It is one of those places where the guy puts on a show while you watch.

It is the Oshkosh of eating.
Everyone gathers, it is a bit awkward getting to your seat, there's the show, then eating and drinking.

Ah, Benihana for the poor folk. I agree with @rolivi, a true teppanyaki place is my preference. And the better ones can be like like Buffalo Wild Wings. Sports on TV, good beers, good crowd, and lots of well prepared food.

^PC, I think you meant to post in the website 2 doors down from this one. "Food Fetishers Of America" FFOA, not POA. :)

Seeing an open tray of food inches off a dirty carpet and inches away from dirty shoes and feet is not exactly appetizing. I wonder whether there are any hygienic rules this restaurant is breaking.

It is north Texas... What sort of quality fish would we be expecting here anyway?
I got the steak.

The cook gonna stir it all up in a minute, so all that bacteria will be dead and fried. Oh, maybe on your food though huh. Dead bacteria, never thought of that before. How's that work anyway, I mean dead bacteria. Is it still there, just dead, lying on your food as a topping, or does it vaporize when ya fry the hell outa it. Anyone know?

Extra protein.

Only if someone fell down while trying to get to their chair, there was a rain storm half way thru the meal, you had to sneak in your own booze like you were at a HS football game and most people wouldnt want to go to that restaurant as the street and parking lot were ridiculously hard to park in and life threatening.

Then its the OSH of eating.

Oh and some local, dusty, old food critic got mad at a waitress and compared the whole experience to a drive in movie she went to in the 30's with some guy she didnt like hitting on her.

Thrush. Thrash is what you do to a hooligan.
Nahhh, thrush is abtained from a very specific place and that place is not the feet! Maybe it's thresh...thrish...I might have used the wrong vowel. ;)

Or maybe I'm just yankin' your dang... :)

Ever heard of shrimping?

Ever heard of shrimping?

Why, yes!

You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo.

Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried.

There's pineapple shrimp, lemonshrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich...
