Out of control cops or out of control preg. woman?

You've had multiple interaction with the cops, and they were ALL jerks, huh? What's the common denominator?
My dad said "if you run into a jerk once in a while, remember that people have bad days. If you are ALWAYS running into jerks, then you're the jerk."

Most people go their entire lives without a significant interaction with the police.

God bless you. We are all fallen, but only some choose to see it, and fewer accept the hand He extends.

How this conversation has avoided the Spin Zone is beyond me.

I am so sorry about all these postings, I just really feel for this young man..

I only wish they would have except some sort of donation from me.

But they would not.

Some people claim there are only about 10% of LEO that are corrupt, violent, viscous, or terminally stupid.

Others claim the number is about 25% and rising.

It matters not. Whether 10, or 25%, that number is an abomination. The fact that unions protect this percentage of the force that is nothing but pond scum, one millimeter - if that - higher on the scum list, than child molesters, ruins it for the rest.

In the age of Rodney King videos, these incidents go viral and forever destroy the credibility of the ones that behave with professionalism.

That the municipalities don't go for jail time when one of their own behave worse than the offenders, just lowers the little respect left and leaves America with a toxic view of the government.

Well, the good news is that corruption, ineptitude and abuse of the defenseless are limited to law enforcement. Just think of the outrage if the medical, legal, banking, clergy, teachers, coaches, buisness-owners, parents, relatives and others were also less than perfect.

In my time I've had numerous women claim pregnancy in confrontations only to find out later about miraculous disconceptions that occurred after business was handled.

Just a data point about a data point.

For the rest of the comments - haters gonna hate.

FC you are on to something,

One corrupt cop is too many.

Don't like what's happening?

Work to get honest leadership, but keep the leadership police. In the same vane civilian oversight is important as well.

Now our little hate monger? I feel sorry for him, his world must be a very dark place.

I told myself a coupe weeks ago I was not posting on here anymore.

Then the video came up of the woman then that young man and I had to post.

This will be my last post here on this forum.

Goodbye.......

I read the entire thread, and it was a difficult ordeal. At least once there was reference to "for anyone not educated in the penal system." Throughout the cumulative dissertations I noted evidence of writers who need to review their education re spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, comprehension of words(there/they're/their; lose/loose; its/it's); and the difference between possession and plurality. The latter is particularly evident when the apostrophe is incorrectly placed in an s-ending word which is simply stating more than one, not possession. Such blatant errors strongly weaken an otherwise sensible opinion and stresses that a professed opinion should be reviewed before the "Post" option is invoked.

You failed to provide any response to the actual point.

Of Course, the other mentioned are not specifically exempted and granted immunity for their crimes.

When a banker gets caught raiding the coffer he goes to jail.

When a clergyman gets caught with his you know, where it shouldn't be, he gets defrocked, and often indicted.

The legal system is ANXIOUS to go after business owners and others when they commit crimes but fear going after violent psychopaths with badges for some reason.

When a cop crosses the line and commits crimes against the society he was empowered to protect, he is the criminal and no amount of pansy-azz, hand wringing will change it.

I believe it is in the DNA of this nation's people to demand strict law and order so long as it isn't ourselves or the people whom we perceive look or or otherwise seem like ourselves who are being ordered.

Then don't comment if you are not going to listen to the evidence.....

I will finish watching when i get home from my 12 hour shift here at the po po department. i gave up watching because i didn't want to be late to work. but from what i've seen so far, the yahoo in the floppy had lost any credibility he may have had with me.

Unless he's a Catholic priest, then he just gets transferred to another Church and the denials begin.

And you fail to understand or acknowledge the wagon-circling, obfuscation and stone-walling that occurs in the other fields. If you think differently, try discussing a teacher behavior issue at your kid's school and watch the NEA spring into action.

When a teacher gets caught screwing a child, the teacher gets indicted. The union goes bananas but who cares?

When a teacher's behavior rises to the level of assault with a deadly weapon, come back and show me how any union wagons circled could help them.

As for priests, the church is paying dearly for that mistake and appropriately so, IMO.

Really? Has the name Sandusky made the local news where you live?

Yes. The local and national news covered the fact that Sandusky is doing a full book in prison though Personally, I think a strong rope and tall tree were much more appropriate.

Paterno got fired but died before he could be sued to death.
Penn State IS NOT a Catholic institution and Sandusky WAS NEVER a priest.
Penn State also faces 60 MILLION DOLLARS in fines to the NCAA and loss of game revenue and playoff/bowl game revenues, for allowing it to go unpunished for so long, which means they are paying dearly for it also.

So why did it take so long? Did you notice any wagon-circling or other delay/cover-up tactics when reading about it?

When the story broke, which means those responsible lost control of the press, so to speak, all hell broke loose and no amount of wagon circling helped.

The abuse history has been around for years, and only recently moved onto the national scene. The successful wagon-circling kept it out of the papers. In any event, LEO's operate in a different realm than most. The few bad cops will always be a tiny percentage of the bad criminals they must deal with. They should be punished the same as everyone else, but anybody involved in LE knows that the first strategy of any crook/thug/molester is to accuse the cop and also knows that a very high percentage of all claims are BS. As a result, those in charge of finding the truth face a difficult task. BTDT.

FTFY

Were it NOT for a private individual and their video cam, there would have never been a Rodney King video, to go viral on the news and start all that trouble. The LAPD, like numerous other police agencies, behave as if the law does not hem them in, until and unless, something happens to force them to acknowledge the incident, lie about it and then stonewall for as long as possible.

The phony warrants are an excellent example. Cops make **** up to get a judge to sign the warrant then go fishing, expecting to find something, anything to jam up someone, rather than face the questions about the questionable warrant application.

Those guys need to go to jail to send a clear message about the law applying equally, to everyone.

Thing is those cops knew they where being recorded and did not care for they knew the state attorney's office would stand behind anything they do.

Scary....

Agreed if it's clearly intentionally egregious. The problem with many of the vids is that they only capture the final moments of an encounter, like the last punch thrown before a flag is thrown. I've investigated enough "brutality" cases to know that the final few seconds or minutes don't tell the entire story, and the little wah-wah-wahs who come crying are often more thn deserving of having the **** beat out of them.
