it looks like there are actual developed photos on that wall, which would mean there are more pics there than in this thread.
Did any of you happen to catch a picture of the L19 that got mangled up in a ground loop a couple days ago?
I am sure grateful for all that post pictures. I'll never go to Oshkosh because I am the type of person that does not want to go where everyone else is going. So thank you to all for your pictures.!!
I was up in the nearby area once in the winter time on a business trip, passing through Oshkosh...& of course I went out of my way and stopped into the museum a few minutes before they closed... and drove around some of the roads..Knapp street and probably Waukau ave around were the old tower was. It was snowing....one of those whisper quiet dead calm snows... It was weird...eerie even...to see it with absolutely nobody around, North 40 was whisper quiet, no campers in Scholar, and several inches of fresh virgin powder snow on everything......
A friend and I flew in once during late fall. Just 1 other plane at Basler. I was surprised at how quiet it was. Landed 09. Requested departure on 36 and even with no line the 2 mile taxi seemed like forever! Also taxi from Basler to R36 taxiway is a rather fun set of instructions with the other short runways embedded where 09 and 36 meet.
My PoA group photo at Oshkosh today. Sorry, but I didn’t get everyone’s names, but that’s @SixPapaCharlie on the right.
Thanks for sharing photos. My trip went sideways when the kiddo came down with Covid this week. There is always next year.
Flew right over Oshkosh at 6,000’ via United coming into Appleton last evening. Sun reflection, not the greatest picture!
Here's a couple of albums of shots from Wednesday https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzZQKM https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzZRzZ
