No Lightspeeds at the airlines?

Do you even use/need noise cancelling on the flight deck of a CRJ/ERJ/Airbus/Boeing ?
CRJ and 737 are loud. Airbus is quieter. 757/767 is marginal. They aren’t too loud but are really quiet either. I’m probably going to go deaf in like 20 years. Any noise canceling can’t hurt on any type. Headsets off at 18K is pretty standard on my fleet. No one took theirs off on the CRJ or 737. Jumpseated on the bus a few times and it was about 50/50

The thing about ship power with the Bose, is then you don't have to use the power button. Plug them in, they are on. Unplug them and they'll shut off.
I have changed my batteries once a year, just so they don't corrode. The Bluetooth is nice sometimes when calling for clearance, yes with a phone.

Yes for sure. Newer Airbusses are pretty quiet, but there is still enough wind noise that it will effect your hearing over time.

I wasn't even thinking about wind noise. Sitting back with the cattle, I only took the engine noise into account, and seeing how far the flight deck cockpit is from the engines, I wouldn't have expected ANR as being necessary.

In the cockpit, it is wind noise, not engine noise.

I'll add another vote for the Bose Pro flight 2, works great in the 737 and is comfortable for long legs. I had to send them in for repairs and fall back on the A20s. Those are too heavy and too tight for longer flights, not to mention they can block too many ambient sounds.
