So, my temporary private cert was issued on Oct. 2 or so. On the FAA web site they show that they're processing certs issued on Oct 10. When should I start worrying about my cert which I haven't received yet?

What kinda times are others seeing? Anyone issued around that time get theirs yet?

Thanks.

If you're worried, log into IACRA and see what the status of your application is. Or you could call OKC and ask them. In my experience, the people in Airmen Services are actually pretty helpful.

My Commerical cert was issued in IACRA on 9/20 and the card showed up 11/20 or 11/21 or so. (We don't check the mailbox daily.)

You're good for 120 days on the paper (61.17) so don't sweat it too much.

You can also request an extension online if it gets too close, by going to the airman certification website and following the instructions for "
Request temporary authority to exercise certificate privileges".

https://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/airmen_certification/airmen_services/

But you're likely to receive it well before the 120 day limit. No worries either way.

I've yet to have any of the temp certs I've gotten over the years require replacement, always got my card in the mail a decent amount of time before my temp would have expired, same with aircraft registration.

Wouldn't worry about it.

If you're running out of time call them. The government shut down while I was waiting on mine and my temporary one was going to expire before they got to it. Called them up when everything re-opened and they mailed me an extension.
The FAA registration branch is actually pretty friendly/helpful once you can actually get a person on the line.

All I want for Christmas is my pilot cert, my pilot cert, my pilot cert oh all I want for Christmas is my pilot cert.....

Maybe every branch up their is backed up. It took my student 3 months to get his name fixed on his medical.
